Make sure you don’t watch the upcoming opening 3 on Episode 116 before the Alabasta arc is over. It contains a major reveal you’re not supposed to know yet so watching it would be a MISTAKE(not a fatal one but a mistake regardless)

I have zero issues with y'all just switching to Dub. Some people lose their minds about it but at the end of the day I'm just happy to have more people react to One Piece.

Thekingmonkey

The dub for one piece is pretty good the only problem people have is Luffy’s voice which I never thought was bad personally.

#SundayRundown #OnePiece The first time I got to the part where Karoo is telling Vivi to go while dying on the ground, after taking her through the battlefield, I went "This is a goofy-looking duck creature, voiced by a person doing the worst animal impression I have ever heard...and it's getting me emotional. Could this show actually be a masterpiece?!" --- So you saw when dub Ms. Merry Christmas goes "Moron! Moron! Ron-ron-ron!" If I recall correctly, when she's first introduced in the dub, she goes "Stupid! Stu! Stu! Stupid-stu!", which I think sounds better. I guess they wanted to mix it up. But rest assured, Marketa. They do the laughs properly. Every annoying laugh in the dub is accurately translated. 👍🏽 Oh, and if you're thinking of doing that "foxy" arc in dub, I CONCUR! If you're going to choose just 1 arc to do in English, make it that one. It's perfect!

Honestly, if you guys want to do the dub for 1 arc, then I agree with Navi and say you do the Foxy arc or maybe the popular filler arc that is before then called G-8 Arc. One PIece arcs get longer and longer the series goes and I personally don't want it for any of those and I think other people would be able to stomach it if it was a shorter and less beloved arc.

Kero20042

Yes, I agree that a short arc with dub wouldn’t be an issue. G-8 would be a good one since it’s popular filler. Or the Foxy arc. I’m biased toward sub, but I think overall people would be alright with a more inconsequential arc being watched in English.

With all the craziness happen, Lassoo the dog gun is one of the biggest, lol. Also, yes, a filler arc or the later "Foxy" Arc in Dub would be great.

Mojakun

Yes. As what others said, please stay with the sub for the main story. Only switch to dub for some filler arcs. One Piece characters were quirky. A lot will be lost in translation. The weird laughs, the way some character speaks and others won't be the same in dub.

Karoo running up the wall became a minigame in the old game One Piece:Pirates Carnival. It’s like Mario Party but with OP characters. In this game, you build up power for your duck to run up the wall and whoever can reach the top first, wins. Only gripe with this game was the 4kids voices but I still miss playing this game with friends. https://youtube.com/shorts/CB5sUSOgiEE?is=62sVT60Ws2zguUiB

Y'all Should definitely watch the following arc in Dub the YuYu Hakusho Gang will certainly be happy with A specific Villains english voice!

MarcusDiggler

How about no filler arcs that sounds like a great idea

Miasimon

Just when you thought Oda couldn't have any crazier ideas, he throws a curveball (lmao) by having an inanimate object have a devil fruit, which implies something that isn't confirmed for another 1000 chapters. Seriously, I want some of whatever Oda is snorting when he's coming up with these ideas.

Personally, I'm on team Dub. I still love both dub & sub, but I will only do sub if the dub's quality isn't good. For One Piece, personally, I love it, and all the characters have voices that match them. For me, there is something a bit different about the emotions of watching a show in a language you speak compared to subtitles.
