Pat during all the killing: I’d find the first weapon start killing people! Pat when when someone cooks a squirrel: shit I don’t know if I can do this

Amanda P

Guys please react to Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein!! I've been waiting so long for your reaction! My fave movie of 2025

Chris Barron

Dang, I was hoping The Godfather was finally this week's uncut after I heard during this week's Sopranos convo that y'all watched it.

Jessi

I am hyped for you guys to watch these! Rana "train orphans" VIOLATION ON THE FIELD! actually diabolical. Couple things: ~the dogs are "mutts" genetic mutations of nightmare fuel and in the book, they have the eyes and physical attributes of the dead tributes as well as screaming in their voice. *mockingjays are also mutts (mocking birds and jay birds); the capital created them to listen to the rebellion plans to bring back to the capital. ~Rue is described in the book per Katniss as having "dark brown skin"; so she was actually accurately cast, people just suck ~if you aren't "reaped" for the games, your name stays in the potential tributes pool from the age of 12 to 19. Not only does your name stay in the death bowl, but you get more entries each year as you grow up (once for 12, twice for 13, and so on). If someone applies for "Tesserae" (the extra oil and grain rations), your name gets entered even more (which is why Katniss told Prim not to take any) . Each person the rations go towards does not only add an additional entry for each ration, but also the kid who choose the Tesserae's ENTIRE FAMILY THOSE RATIONS GO TOWARDS counts for an additional name entry. ~speaking of medicine and all the technology the capitol has, in the book, Peeta loses the leg that's injured and he has to then get a prosthetic to wear when the capitol could have literally made him a new leg. ~Also Cato's death in the book takes H O U R S because he's wearing armor and fights hard against the mutts, but gets destroyed by them and begs Katniss to end his suffering. ~There wasn't supposed to be a love triangle; Suzanne Collins had Gale as Katniss's cousin, but the publishers said there needed to be a love triangle to appeal to the middle-school demographic.

Yes! I’m so excited!

So the next 3 movies after this one are taking place in the same present time of these Hunger Games stories, then the 5th one is a prequel of President Snow's story and the 6th one (coming out in Nov) is a prequel of Haymitch's story. Also that's Elizabeth Banks, she is not the mother in Modern Family, she is Cam and Mitch's best friend in the show, the mother is Julie Bowen.

Gambit3838

Effie is Elizabeth Banks from 40 year old Virgin, Brightburn, Spiderman as JJJ assistant Betty Brant, ALL THE PITCH PERFECT MOVIES, etc....

Gambit3838

Why am I a grownass man running to see them react to these movies? They were the best of the YA series of movies that came out in that 10 year resurgence period. Just above the Divergent series and The Maze Runner.

SunnydaleClassof99

#SundayRundown This series is extremely derivative of other material & genre tropes. It's easy to understand though why it became popular even if it isn’t really my cup of tea. The films did significantly improve when Francis Lawrence took over as director though.

L

#sundayrundown. Elizabeth Banks is in Modern Family, but NOT Claire Dunphy. She’s a side character for a few scattered episodes.

toastthecat

#SundayRundown fun fact my father's band made the song "war" which is the track that plays in Caesar flickerman's show. I remember being like 5 or 6 and hearing them play it in my grandmother's(?) basement. Anyways dont support them financially theyre legitimately all horrible people its crazy.

toastthecat

except for that one gorillaz song theyre in... you can listen to that one cause its really good

@eric.na.goo.yen

1. I like the series as a whole. The second book, Catching Fire, is not only my favorite of the book series, but it’s such a close adaptation that it’s easily my favorite of the movie series too. 2. It’s pretty much not even debatable that The Hunger Games series is a rip off of the Japanese book/film Battle Royale. Which is a really great movie that yall should react to 🙏

GalaxyLucia

Seen so many reactions to this movie series and it’s ALWAYS entertaining to see the range of emotions. Suggesting drowning Rue to not hear her scream was a first tho 😲 Another fun reaction as usual

Macs

Just one point there is not a whole world outside of those 13 districts the movie doesn't explain it but this is a post post apocalyptic world, the capital was built next to Cheyenne Mountain a massive military base underground facility irl built to withstand nukes. most of the world is covered in water or irradiated wasteland

GalaxyLucia

Also-big correction: In the book Rue is Black. Most of the READERS didn’t realize it and they were only upset at casting. Hence the racist tweets from some people stating they didn’t feel sorry anymore about Rue’s death once it was confirmed she was canonically NOT white. Crazy.

Kieron Lee

for some bizarre reason there are 2 somewhat well known parody movies of the hunger games called hungover games and starving games. They are actually stupidly funny so if you and others wanted to, could react to them after the hunger games run!

Armani 🐢

This would be gold.. Hungover Games especially. Unfortunately they would also need to react to the Hangover series for that one so I doubt it.

Kieron Lee

omg true lol, alot more references in there that wont land unless having seen whatever its referencing, those movies are alot like epic and date movie with that stuff

fr0st

The garbage that came after this series made me forget how good this series really was. Excellent dystopia, great talent. No wonder after these adaptations came out, absolutely everyone was jumping on the bandwagon with inferior crap to try and cash in. Can't wait for the next one!
