I really liked this episode, and I can tell you did too, but trust me, things are only going to get more intense from here on out. I just wanted to address your theories from the end; it hasn’t been confirmed in the manga, but I don’t think Zodyl and Rudo are related. However, I get the feeling that their pasts are much more similar than we realize and that they’re both working toward the same goal. I also think that, personality-wise, Rudo might end up becoming more like Zodyl later

2026-10-15 16:00 Hands down best english dub I know of. Suraj I don't think you were wrong about everything you said regarding Zodyl, but I think you overlooked thee key part. When he ate the cockroach he was talking about the difference in normality mostly based on your environment (not unlike indoctrination). He then ate it not strictly because of how he views it but because he knows how "normal" people (and likely Rudo) would view the act, and wanted to give that shock value to make Rudo more likely to actually consider what he's saying. Also the "Auntie" thing is really just a close cultural translation thing. There are words for aunt, uncle, brother, sister however they are the exact same words you would use to address a complete stranger based on apparent age/sex (oji/oba/oni/onee-san respectively). The "o" is a little more formal textbooky so in Enjin's case he likely said some varient of "ba" and it's translated as "auntie"

I just wanted to come back to your point: indeed, if Enjin calls her “Auntie,” it’s not necessarily because he’s related to her, but because he knows her and has a lot of respect for her. In fact, the young man with the tattoos that we see in the photo with her is Enjin.

Meh

I was very deliberately trying not to say that as they didn't seem to notice or bring it up themselves.
