2026-10-26 00:00 #Sunday Rundown - REPOST in case 1x2 comments aren’t read: The painting of a man on fire & J.I.M, the First Synthetic Man, in ep 4 Katerina talks about is a reference to Marvel’s first ever Superhero & Marvel’s first ever android, the Original Human Torch, Jim Hammond, who debuted in Marvel Comics Issue #1 back in 1939. Back then Marvel wasn’t even called Marvel, it was called Timely Comics, then they rebranded to Atlas Comics in the 1950s and the Marvel Mystery comics series where Jim debuted that ran from the 1930s to 40s was where they got their inspiration to rebrand as Marvel Comics in 1961. This is the 3rd Easter egg we’ve gotten for the OG Torch in the MCU, one was in Captain America 1 and the second was in Loki S2

2026-10-23 17:00 So glad you guys are getting to watch this show as it airs. I don't know the logistics of your business and I won't pretend to know but you must miss out on some views when you can't ride during the hype train like in the GoT days.

And Pat & Rana getting spooked from the exorcism was gold. "I didn't sign up for this" killed me. LOL

In comics J.I.M (Jim Hammond, the original Human Torch) killed Hitler. Seriously, look

"I'm a trans-humanist. I might be the last trans-humanist."

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Jocasta the Bride of Ultron in the comics with Janet Van Dyne aka the Wasp as her mind? I know Ultron was made and based on Hank Pym and I know Ultron had A bride with Janet in mind, but I don't remember the specifics. I only remember this from the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes show IYKYK

MagnaGlazer

This is the best superhero show of the year.

Z Cole

COMPLETELY UNRELATED “LOST” FACT I LEGIT JUST FOUND OUT: the actor who played Walt, Michael’s son, is apart of the pop/hiphop duo MKTO, who made the hit song “Classic”

SundayRundown: "Whiat is reaction but an eternal cycle of watching videos in good company?" That cyber exorcism about killed me laughing! Now every time my computer acts up in any way, I'll say "The power of code compels you!" in my best James Spader voice :-)

Maurice Gray Jr

You nailed it! in the comics Ultron built Jocasta, kidnapped the Wasp and tried to drain her mind into his bride. The Avengers stopped the process, but enough of Jan got in there for Jocasta to come to life. She followed the Vision's example and joined the Avengers instead of serving Ultron. Poor guy couldn't get either of his kids into the family business :-)

A Wretched Thing

Jocasta is also the name of Oedipus’s mother, which is fitting given that Pym would be his father and he used Janet Van Dyne to model the synth’s mind.

What’s the one from Loki? I tried looking into it and couldn’t find anything

Reynaldo Urena

My bad I thought the Stark Expo from First Avenger and the World’s Fair were the same event. I keep forgetting Victor Timely and Phineas Horton aren’t the same character and don’t have a connection in the MCU

Came to say this, glad someone brought it up.

Pedantic nerdy tangent screed based on something chris said in the after-show; The Palantiri weren't evil artifacts. There were essentially a world wide communication and divination network. When Numenor sunk into the sea, Elendil saved 7 palantiri. When he and his sons founded the Numenorean kingdoms in Middle Earth, he split them between the 2 regions. 3 for the land of Arnor in the North, and 4 for Gondor in the south. As those kingdoms declined after the death of Elendil, Anarion, and Isildur, they lost track of the palantir that were in those places. At the time of LOTR, there are only 2 that we know of; 1 at Isengard in Saruman's possession, and 1 at Minas Tirith held by Denethor. They were dangerous, not because they were inherently corruptive in nature, but because at least one fell into the possession of Sauron. In modern terms, the palantir network was hacked. Denethor being just a normal dude, tried to use the Palantir at Minas Tirith, like the Numenoreans did and Sauron sent him horrid visions that drove him crazy. Saruman was much stronger as one of the Istari but Sauron basically red-pilled him. He didn't control Saruman but turned him away from his allies. All that just to say, its not the stone itself that was the issue, sort of like the technology itself. The people using it shouldn't have it and didn't read the fucking stories or, perhaps they did, and that is scarier. I used to assume these chuds think of themselves as Aragorn or some such but more and more I think PT and his ilk want to be Sauron. They want to be in control. Just some thoughts on that and it also sort of tracks with Ai and its depiction in most media like the MCU. It is usually flawed because the intent behind its implementation.
