Ngl I wasn’t expecting them to have reactions ready today and didn’t think they would have time to record them. Isn’t Normie Con today?

I don't know why streaming services decided to drop entire seasons of new shows in the first place. It worked for syndicated/old shows like The Office and ATLA on Netflix. But for brand new shows like Avatar NATLA? It felt like you are behind the second the season drops unless you ALSO binge and you cant have the water cooler talks since everybody is out of sync.

I love the sheer copium they were huffing because they didn’t want to imagine that the twin’s parents abandoned Nisha. I get it though. That was messed up.

Hot take, better season than book 1 of ATLA. Less filler, WAY more interesting story. Tbf it came out over 20 years ago and TV shows have gotten better overall. Just cool to see a new show set in the Avatar universe with such high quality. Even the animation of this season is better than MOST of book 1 of ATLA. First 3 episodes were rough, but clearly this finale got a lot more polish. Strange choice to not have Korra talk at all. Not even in the chakra scene?

So fanbase thinks the parents, are bad/evil/mean. Particularly the father. Maybe they saw Nisha do some scary stuff, and that's why they're leaving. But there must be more to the story. For one, why are the parents the ones leaving? And not just leaving, risking two whole weeks in the harshlands! The mother said "We have no other choice, I don't know if we're doing the right thing". They could just as easily dropped Nisha off to Karthik and stayed. This makes me think something else is going on. Creators said we'll learn more about the parents, and of course there must be more. But I don't think it'll be as bad as people think. Also, why are we 100% sure that the vision we saw was the total truth? I'm of the belief in episode 7, the vision Pavi saw of Korra was fairly accurate to what happened, but when Nisha joined. Nisha's fear distorted the next vision and we get a scarier smiling Korra. I think something similar could have definitely happened here with their vision of their parents.

Completely disagree. I enjoyed this season, bur what you call "Filler" in ATLA is worldbuiding and Character building. 7H Book 1 needed more of both, there's too many characters who barely got anything to do and we have to wait to see if they'll actually be developed until next time. The animation was grrat here but not at all better especially on average comparatively.

I think nisha went into the avatar state for the first time and lost control, which caused them to get separated

KTRB7

Pavi absolutely popped off. I'm so proud of her.

You know, I wanted the full avatar state theme for the finale but I'm glad we didn't get it. There's only one moment when it will hit the best when we hear it for the first time.

Here’s my take. Their mother is grounded and firm in her beliefs, while their father trusts what he sees. Maybe he witnessed something dark in Nisha that their mother never saw. Learning about Ellora and how its people talked about the Avatar could have triggered an outburst he witnessed firsthand. Something dark and spiritual like the energy demon. To Nisha, it might have simply been a way of returning the hatred directed at her. To her father, though, it raised a frightening possibility. Maybe the fear that the Avatar could bring another cataclysm wasn’t entirely unfounded. Still, he wanted to believe the Avatars could save the world from the cataclysms. That’s why I think he wanted to entrust Nisha to Karthik, someone he may have discovered while researching the Avatar’s guardians from the old world. His hope was that living in Ellora would teach her the importance of community and help her care about people even when they rejected her. With a high-ranking commander by her side, she might also convince the Haven that the Avatar wasn’t someone to fear. That plan could have had a harsher intention, too. If Nisha believed her parents had abandoned her, the people of Ellora would become her only source of acceptance and validation. She would depend on the very people who hated her, giving her a reason to seek their approval instead of turning against them. Their mother wasn’t on board at first, but eventually relented because she trusted her husband’s instincts. Hearing about the dangerous outburst and Nisha’s growing resentment, without having witnessed it herself, may have been enough to convince her to go along with his plan. Pavi, on the other hand, responded to that same hatred with a more optimistic outlook. Rather than resenting people for fearing the Avatar, she wanted to help them understand that she and her sister weren’t bad people. That could explain why her plan was different: she would go to the Republic Forest and train under another White Lotus member, somewhere the hatred of the Avatar hadn’t taken hold. There, Pavi could grow up surrounded by acceptance and nurture her desire to help people. The hope would be that, when she eventually visited the other Havens, she could hold on to that optimism and change people’s minds without letting their fear turn into her own resentment.

I think also her outburst was what caused the anomaly to spawn

Meh

You don't say, "FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD COOK" That is my favorite line this entire season XD

When Nisha was doubting herself and couldnt bring herself to bend I really thought they were gonna pull a "Parent Trap switch-up" on us. Obv Nisha cant pretend to be Pavi due to her prosthetic, but Pavi could hide her prosthetic and pose as Nisha.
