PS

The dubs ruin this episode, in the original version it's meant to be about Shikamaru's & Choji's true friendship. But in the dub they try to insert Naruto into the dialogue. In the original there is nothing about a group of friends, Choji's dad is talking about a friend, finding someone like Shikamaru. Naruto is not much of a friend to Choji.

KevinFromNewYork

Man. I knew it was coming and that shit still got me.

Anonymous

Yeah nejis got a backstory he can’t die 😅

Anonymous

What a great episode! For this arc, we all need to really step it up and not spoil anything. No hinting, no innuendos, jokes hinting at spoilers, etc. pls pls pls. We can do it. I believe in us... sorta. Not at all actually. Fuck. lol

DaphneQueen

This episode is great and seeing Choji’s backstory is awesome! Poor Nahid. You will survive this, man! We all did

John Lancaster

Where's episode 111 and 112? Did I miss something?

Anonymous
>>28932118

Lol it came out last week. Click on the naruto tag and scroll down a bit.

ManicMeeks

The absolute silence at the end. I love this.

Anonymous

When you keep watching, you'll see why this is one of the best arcs in the series

outofcurry

this was one of the toughest episodes in the series :(

Liam D

This arc don't fuck around and i love it

spoiled milk

nooOooooooo spoilers chat 🌻🌻🌻

George Byrd

Jesus Christ the writing is top tier in this arc. R.I.P Choji

Gabtab0000

Please don’t spoil anything in this arc guys.

Ricardo Miron

This episode was hard to watch. I teared up like crazy when watching this.

Darryl

Naruto Spoiler comment, as in dont watch the video im talking about. Thier reaction when it happened reminds me so much of the RDC world video, when your favorite anime character Dies lol

raesh

That was great Choji episode!!!

The Normies

Audio issue for this week's eps and last week's is still being worked and fixed

Medusa

RIP Choji 😭😭😭. Lol I bet the sub fans hearts jumped a bit when Rana forget they only react to the dub 😂. Also just putting it out there, I wouldn’t mind a solo Nahid One Piece reaction, just saying.

Neal Cabanos

So we just gon’ ignore the fact that Chouji just killed a man?

Anonymous

Please do 115-117 next week. It’s one connected fight!

nicholas demesa

the reason he looks cooler is because the chili pepper pill literally consumes body mass so he's lost weight

spoiled milk

this is a spoiler 🗑🗑🗑🚯🚯

Arthur D. Gastino

Only times I cried in naruto was when sarutobi died, this moment and when my man got impaled and drowned in the ocean. Naruto really knows how to get you in ur feelings

Darryl

Lol when it happened, Rana: Whatttt. Mickey: Became sad. Chris: In Denial. Suraj: Silence. And Nahid: File not found/ does not compute.

Zee

This was the second episode I cried to when watching this show. As someone who initially had a hard time making friends, and to now be able to say I have a solid group of ones I trust. This episode hit me hard. RIP Choji. You truly made great friends 🙏🏾🙏🏾

botanbutton

I love this episode. I am legit laughing at the reaction to the end. tho.

Edo

mickey, PLEASE PLEASE take the warning and do not read the titles!!! Something really badass happens during this arc and one of the titles pretty much spoils it. IT WILL ruin the surprise of it. I....I've...already said too much .... *vanishes into the shadows.

Rekway

Sucks so bad watching people spoil things in the comments while not realizing that's what they're doing. And I'm here with my hands tied because if I comment on them to shut them up it gives things away even more. Anyways thanks for the post love you guys. Sucks you can't read your patrons comments without being spoiled.

Ruben Lopez

This episode was definitely surprisingly emotional. Especially that music at the end.

Zee
>>28935528

Yeah, thankfully a lot of episodes in this arc, they don’t have a voice over for the title. Is that episode your referring one of the ones that do?

Jerome Green

As a kid who grew up struggling with his own weight and social anxiety this part with Choji made me tear up and it honestly helped me get through alot of times. I never had anyone to talk to because all I had was a dog and a mom that worked 24/7 just so we could live. So the choji part really helped me out and made me feel special and I said "wow, if I had friends I'd fight for them just like that regardless of what others say even if they call me fat or worthless I'd still keep going" and then I grew up and my mentality still stays on that thought process. I got "better" with talking to people and I'm no longer nervous or ashamed of anything. Thanks Choji, you're a literal life saver

Anonymous

The gut-wrenching episodes are what make Naruto so good, they can make you feel so attached to a side character and just pull it away from you just like that. I love this show and I’m so glad you guys are watching it and loving it also!

Neal Cabanos

Let’s mark this as the episode that Rana realized they’re watching in English. 😂😂😂

Ryan Kosier

This arc is the final arc of OG Naruto. Not counting the filler, this arc takes you straight into Shippuden. And since this is the finale, all your assumptions about how it will play out or about characters dying or not are kinda out the window. Just watch and be amazed.

Karthig

He exorcised that dude.

Sherman

The fact why Choji looks skinnier and cooler is because the red pill literally forcibly transfers his fat into chakura and gives him strength. This is how his clan's jutsu work. But the transfer mechanism cannot be stopped and his body is unable to provide enough fat into chakura, so it starts to seek another energy source to produce chakura, and Choji's body will barely maintain his vital function. That's the side effect.

😂😂😂😂

This episode always makes me cry! 😭🦋

Grey

This episode always gets me :'(

Daniel Burgmann

Death is without consequence anyways. Just collect all Dragon Balls and... oops, wrong series.

Logan

"Get rid of Neji or some shit." - Nahid, 2019

Freddupe

One piece reference 👀👀👀👀

Liam D

That ost is one of my favorite, they use it so well in this arc, when shikamaru makes his speech before setting off, and now chojis death scene

wwalker21

It’s best to just avoid comments and titles this whole arc if possible normies.

Miasimon

"They wouldn't kill Choji, after making him so awesome." That's EXACTLY when they would kill Choji. Remember every other major death? They always get some redemption and a flashback to go with it.

Sherman

Please someone just tell them try to AVOID certain episodes' title which contains spoiler...

Ji-pi Doyon

The Nara and Akimichi clan...always the best combo, in battle and in personalities...Probably my favorite scene of Shikamaru, just going to see Choji, chilling with him...Just great ! My other ones are in Shippuden but this is scene just is great character developpement for what was at the beginning the B team in the forest of death.

Johnny Blue

RIP Choji. To me, the most relatable character in the retrieval squad.

Johnny Blue

This episode gave me Android 19 flashbacks. Except Choji was a lot more useful than Yamcha.

Dspade

Yes Normies! Stay clear of reading the titles because things get CRAZY!!

Anonymous

Some of the upcoming fights in this arc would probably need to be dropped in 3 parts at once kinda like the rock lee and Garra fight

Brad Harding

i had forgot about this episode legit made me cry like damn....

STEAMY_DA_GOD

FUUUUUUCK, I knew this day would come one day for ya'll...RIP Choji and deepest sympathies for Shikamaru for losing his best friend. 🙏☝😢

Brownhokage

RIP choji , one of the hidden leafs realist shinobis we love you boy

Gezno

what was the ost when Choji found that tree with all the writing?

DAki

this episode made me teary i forgot how emotional it was!

DAki

RIP Choji...

rob catorce

i think you guys should avoid the episode titles starting from now cause they spoil so much

Sherman
>>28940179

That's exactly what we need for next week, please 115-117 together!

Kaz Z.

This is reaction is gold. I love how ya’lls looked at each other for confirmation. 😂

Johnny Blue
>>28941953

Yeah, one more reason why they shouldn't read episode titles. They spoil the episode.

Cynthia Huynh

I cried when this aired and now I’m crying again..... I think I’ll cry once more after watch rttv reactions 😭

Zee

I know it’s kinda funny looking back that Neji didn’t leave anything lol but people forget that Neji doesn't really hang out with them. He's older. Outside of Naruto and Hinata,, he hasn't interacted or even know anyone in that class

Chris D. Jones

In some anime a backstory means death

Ian

Choji is the first of his classmates to kill a dude.

wwalker21

Also I’ve never heard the normies so quiet lol...

Anonymous

Dat shock and silence towards the end

Ji-pi Doyon

They can't kill him after making him so awesome and giving him his backstory...Every anime ever would like to have a word with you ! loll

Drifts

The first of many during thise anime

Deadpool

I remember crying to this episode so much

Max Drap

RIP Choji :/ Such a great moment, wish we could have seen more.

Sou saetern

Mad respect for the normies for giving Choji the respect he deserves. Silence is golden.

Adam Vialpando

Think of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden like GoT. No side characters are safe and they can die at any time.

Sally

Goodbye Choji 😢 This episode always makes me cry. Choji who didn’t have much self-confidence was able to defeat him all on his own because he thought about how Shikamaru believed in him. Just one person is all you need. I loved the butterfly motif - how it first showed his kindness, then represented his metamorphosis, then guided him to his resting spot where it was affirmed that his friends truly cared about him (except Neji lmao. But hey maybe he just trusted Choji enough to win and find them without sentimental engravings), and finally acted as a sign to Shikamaru that he was down. That mega punch really did knock his heart out through the back and into the dirt 😂😂 It was death death. That’s what happens when you insult his bff and steal his last chip!!!! Blasphemy. Your discussion at the end was hilarious! I love how you ranged from shock to disbelief to denial to acceptance to still processing at 5%. Micky made some good points about Choji being a more minor character and his backstory was shown here for heart wrenching effect. Lmaoooo that cheesy poof eulogy you gave Chris 🤣🤣 Choji deserves nothing less!! And it really does look like the food pills he ate, it’s so fitting. The cheesy pill. You’re bound for life now.

Adam Vialpando

Next up is my favorite fight of this arc.

Hunter

Big nerd talk incoming. Taijutsu, ninjustu, and genjutsu are just shinobi disciplines based off of the types of techniques used, and just because you are capable of one doesn't mean that you are incapable of another, with the exception of Lee since he has no ability to channel chakra. In addition all living things need chakra to survive, and if they run out they die. Big nerd talk done.

Adam Vialpando

Neji is one of my top faves Nahid. Don't try to plan his death. He already lived a messed up life and deserves to live.

Adam Vialpando

Of course Choji needed chakra for his techniques Suraj. Human bodies don't naturally grow several times their size after all. It isn't at all like Lee.

Tizzem

"choji had a backstory, same day he fuckin died" lol lol lol

Drifts

on a sidenote: Could you guys please do the next three episodes in order for next week? it is kind of something like rocklee & gaara were it should be lined up like that or else you will regret it haha.

Scar

Choji went out like a G my dude. RIP.

Rexamillion

Soooo yah did you know white butterflies in Japan are a symbol of death.

Twin Hallow

Taijutsu still uses chakara just fyi.

Anonymous

please stop reading the titles of these episodes and please no one spoil things for them!

Victoria

rip choji :(

Manu

Asking people not to spoil is pretty much useless. But them not reading the spoilers is a more realistic request. Can they get someone who doesn't watch Naruto to read the important comments that talk about audio/visual problems or potential title spoilers and relay it back to them for this arc?

Rishi Hattiangadi

Oh man, this fight was what made Choji one of my favorite characters.

Keep It Zen
>>28934116

Yeah DO NOT EVERERR watch the that video Normies. Until you finish Shippuden

Keep It Zen
>>28939137

What happened with 3rd Hokage? Gave him a BADASS fight and an even MORE BADASS speech.

Keep It Zen
>>28947705

Well Lee uses chakra as well. Actually it’s a surplus of it that forces open the first gate as explains in episode 49. Lee just can’t mold chakra to use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.

Keep It Zen
>>28952922

We’ve asked and warned several times on discord. They love the community interaction too much to stay away from comments, and I can’t blame them. RANA is like the only one who actively avoids comments which is great. It is probably a more realistic request to get others to stop spoiling 😅

Anonymous

WTF man, God someone should have told you guys about avoiding titles from the beginning. The whole intensity of Chojis sacrifice got ruined because you guys already knew he was gonna die

Hachem Hm

I know One Piece is too long but please just watch the first 130 episodes, that would be enough and all are great :)

Anonymous

Nahid: man kill neji or some shit.... Me gasps: HOW DARE YOU!

Spookie Dookie

Rip Choji.. u never really see his potential until it’s too late

Anonymous

Really sad death :( F

Hunni

Quick reminder to rub the feels in, but Choji is 12 years old lol

Cory Hawks
>>28955659

I don't know why so many people are saying OP is to long while their watching Naruto and eventually Shippuden. Naruto isn't short. I guess because OP is still going people think it's like a 1000 episodes ahead of Naruto? Maybe at some point that could be the case? But right now OP isn't that further ahead of Naruto.

Jason Lim
>>28935494

Same here, I know I should be feeling sad, but watching their reactions just made me laugh out loud for some reason

Dbhe

That silence at the end of the episode was beautiful.

Michael Diaz

These comments are really not helping. But this was definitely a highlight for Choji. Respect.

Mrryn

The way this fight panned out sets the stage for everything going forward. Basically, what Shikamaru said holds true: they have to be ready and willing to die if they want to hope to see the mission through. You guys reacted as expected. Now buckle up, cause the feelsmobile ain't stopping any time soon. RIP Choji Oh and btw, "cho" in Japanese means butterfly. Hence all the imagery.

Anonymous

This was a really good episode. I don't think I appreciated it enough when I first watched it.

Vincent S Deluca

Yeah def avoid the titles they do give away a good bit lol

Ryan Graham

The reason the butterfly is featured so much in these past few episodes is because in japanese, "Cho" means "Butterfly".

Anonymous

This is season 6 of the walking dead

Dvrth

I can’t believe I cried AGAIN

vivek srivastav

Love your reaction to choji's death... the upcoming fights are super awsome. can't wait for the reaction....

Keep It Zen
>>29002559

Naruto came before Walking Dead so T.W.D is pulling a Naruto 😝 haha just kidding

Crow Xiong

In the subtitle what Choji said was different in the dub when he punched that guy, in the sub it said something like "This punch is heavier than life!"

Brandon Diaz

Yooo I would love for you guys to watch One Piece (The show yall were talking about referring to Choji's partial expansion) just know it has over 900+ episodes. However it is very good and I love naruto, but I'm gonna have to say One Piece tops it when it comes to the feels it gives you. It's one hell of a journey

Marcus Brandon

The normies faces when it just ended priceless

Shervell Jones

That Sasuke needle death made y’all complacent. RIP Choji

John

Choji is dead guys I'm sorry I was the same way 😢

Torrin Bianchi

I can’t believe it choji at his last potato chip that day
