I read somewhere that Charles Vane actually fired up a ship like this to escape once.

Deviant Parker

Woods Rogers an amateur? Lol. He got this job by being one of the British Empire's best privateers. Privateers are pirates hired by the government to prey on other countries' ships.

Chronicler

Argentina is landlocked guys! hahaha

Charlotte

The show got to play with real history a bit here. Both in Vane's fire ship and the Maroon camps. I always enjoy them mixing in history with the story. The mention of Vane breaking the guy's jaw made me recall the video of Toby Stephens telling the story of Zach McGowan actually breaking a stunt man's jaw in season 2. https://youtu.be/cXXp1B18gPY

Sinbad

Calling Woodes Rogers an amateur is gonna come back to bite them lol

Breanna

Put some respect on Ser Woods Rodgers name... AKA Ser Arthur Dayne sword of the morning

Joe

Agh! No Mickey, Flint accepting the pardons would be the very antithesis of what he was trying to do. To accept the pardons would be to apologise to England. In the cage he's mulling over whether accepting them would be the best option, yes, but as you said, he's depressed as fuck.

Kyle Semenoff

Ray Stevenson is a BIG motherfucker. He has a fight scene with The Rock in G.I Joe 2 and he goes eye to eye with him. Can't say that about many actors.

Alexis Cardarella

My roommate and I started looking up pirate history because of this, but when we started to read about things that could potentially be future plots, we had to stop looking shit up. That’s what I love most about this show. That I’m constantly surprised by the arcs and plot twists. It’s also up there with Game of Thrones and Veronica Mars in terms of how much plots it successfully handles at once. ..God, I love this show.
