Wow. This actually looks fucking amazing!!!! I really hope we start it on the channel soon with as many people in the group as possible. Very beautiful and artistic what Rooster Teeth has been able to pull off here.

I realize this footage cuts away some time. Our editors wasn't aware that Rooster Teeth doesn't mind uncuts. When we upload this on YouTube later it will be with full uncut trailer footage.

Comments

SpeedyCat19

Can't say I saw this coming. These comments are gonna be a disaster. This show is very divisive lmao

Anonymous

I agree^ BUT IM STILL SO READY CAUSE THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS HANDS DOWN!!!

Matthew Daniel Griffiths

This really didn’t need to be edited and cut though rooster teeth are sound with reactions

Yomeniester

From what I understand, Monty Oum mainly handled/animated the trailers himself. Roosterteeth under his direction worked on Volumes 1-3 until his unfortunate passing. Roosterteeth is still working on the series with their in-house production team.

Explorin Dylan

so dame awesome you guys are loving this show I'm waiting for the final season or next season lol but I promise the animation gets better and better each season 👍👍👍

DAki

*Amazing before

Anonymous
>>39301707

Monty died during the production of Vol 3 so most of that Volume was done without him but other than that you've right.

Sibelius

This would be amazing if you reacted to it!!

Callie

oh this just made my night!! i know there's a lot of split opinions on this show but i love it very much despite it's problems and i think it makes for a great reaction series!! really hoping you do more!

KevinFromNewYork
>>39301282

It's not divisive. It just starts off great then pulls a walking dead. It should have ended a long time ago.

KevinFromNewYork

This is one of the most entertaining reactions they've had in a long while.

Eli van Aggelen

Guys, seeing as how short the episodes in season 1 are, please at least try the whole season, if you dont like the finale, then the show isn't for you (but who am I kidding, I know you'll love it). It's such an amazing show! (well, the first 3 seasons at least)

Nekko Shift

This Show is Amazing, so I’m glad y’all love it. Although that me Personally only watched till season 4 since the style changed a bit from what I loved; but overall it is still good.

Bryce Nielsen

RWBY is.. not very good. I watched the first season and barley made it through. Had to stop early season 2. It's just super mediocre all-around.

Nekko Shift
>>39302940

The quality of the animation the first few is really cringy, and some of the conflict plus jokes probably aren't the best. But you gotta keep in mind that until Volume 3 they were a small group of people trying to dish out a AAA style content, so it was definitely impossible for them there. Nonetheless with each passing Season everything gets better (the only thing that Nose Dived was the fighting animations since Monty Oum Passed).

Nekko Shift
>>39302690

Lmao, I love how many people say "up to Vol 3" as it's quite obvious why. (like I said before I only watched until S4, but it was still good) The fighting animation Is what I miss the most out of it.

Jeff

Now for Gen:Lock

Summer Runner

You guys have nothing to lose by reacting to this series. No copyright issue and editing will be a breeze. This show has peaks of interest for just about everyone (yes even brown pat too!). The show is master storytelling and fight choreography (atleast Volumes 1-3 are a masterpiece). The volumes after that, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I can see you guys liking it still regardless.

Greg Blackmore

Monty Oum was a GOD, RIP Monty Oum :(

Freak

Damn. I remember Monty Oum from Dead Fantasy. RIP. (React to that please!)

MoxiePoxy

I have waited so long for you guys to react to RWBY!! xD Now I just gotta wait longer for Mob Psycho 100...

Harveyy
>>39304513

faaaaaaaaacttts! I really hope we'll get mob reactions one day

Twili

Rwby?! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

godUsoland

I've been watching RWBY since the Red Trailer dropped in 2012. The journey was incredible to see how the company (RoosterTeeth) grew, from just some dudes in an apartment, to a massive company that works on large scale animations, has a licensed manga adaptation, partnership with DC, and recruiting David Tennant, Maisie Williams, and michael b jordan to act in their shows. They have made some questionable decisions over the years, but I still enjoy RWBY and Gen:Lock.

godUsoland

Heads up, the music was sung by Casey Lee Williams. She has been the main singer for most of RWBY's soundtrack, starting when she was 13 years old, while her father, Jeff Williams, creates most of the songs/plays most of the instruments.

Ruben Mira Jimenez

fuck.... YESSS!!! I was at work when i got the notification for this, and it made my fucking day!! Thank you for this!!

Sarah Hefferin

Yes! This is a really entertaining show with a really interesting world! Hope you guys watch it someday!

godUsoland

If you watch it, the first Volume can be watched in 1 or 2 reactions. -Volume 1: Approx. 10-11 minutes (combined), 6-7 minutes (two-parters) (total runtime 1:50:28, approx. 110 minutes)

Fighting Wombat

Monty animated the first trailer by himself

Ruben Mira Jimenez

ALSO!! If you guys end up reacting to the show, you should also (if not react) at least listen to the soundtracks after each Volume, the songs add a LOT of the story and lore to the whole show.

Fyre

Just to manage expectations, the first volume is the worst in terms of animation and voice acting. Things improve significantly with each volume (with the exception of volume 4 because they end up having to learn a new animation program.) Story and weird anime cliche stuff gets thrown in a lot more in the first volume too, since the team that was writing it didn't want to commit too much to laying out major cliffhangers and story drops until they knew the show would go somewhere, so expect less of that too.

Twili

Honestly one of my favorite shows istg! Words can't express how much I love RWBY and it's creativity! All of the characters are inspired by fairytales/myths/legends and I enjoy trying to guess who they are based off of from their appearance/abilities/weapons. Also there is so much world development and lore! Tbh I tried watching the first two episodes (didn't see the trailers whoops) on netflix back when I was 13 or 14 after the first season dropped but ended up forgetting about it. It was during season 6 when I heard a lot of hype about it and tried again...I ended up bingeing 6 seasons over two+ weeks and I would have finished it sooner if I didn't try to space it out. Anyway, I highly recommend this show to anyone and everyone!!

MrWollert

I have been waiting for this for a long time. Loved it!!!

Xetren
>>39303515

Saying it has master storytelling is uh... a stretch to say the least. The first 3 volumes are good, though I wouldn't call them a masterpiece. And I have a feeling you already know the quality of the volumes after that, so I won't bother touching that.

Summer Runner

There IS a video game! But don't play it because of spoilers!

Tone

PLEASE DO NOT CUT YOUR REACTIONS TO RWBY - I cannot suggest this strongly enough. Rooster Teeth allows full length reference video reactions for RWBY, and a lot of people (myself included) like to re-watch the series in its entirety as reactors watch it for the first time. Even if you guys don't have a specific audible or visual reaction for part of the video, leaving in the full reference footage allows someone re-watching along with you to get the full experience.

Anonymous

Color and themes mean a lot in this show. Heck, most of the characters in this are based off of fairy tales and stories. I think you could probably guess what these four girls' inspirations are. You could always find hidden details that take on a whole new meaning after you see what's ahead. And I LOVE some of foreshadowing. I'm honestly amazed how you guessed some of these themes already. So please, keep trying to point out and discussing the details and correlations in this show. I'm so glad you guys are picking up RWBY.

Anonymous

Hehe Marketa is right! Yang is armed and ready to fight!

Anonymous

Oh and there are 7 volumes with the seventh being on Roosterteeth's site. Fun fact: They've started writing volume 9 just now.

Taizen

RWBY has a really special place in my heart. I've been with it since the Red trailer first came out. The late Monty Oum (the creator and animator for the hypest fights in the show) was an absolute legend and had so much talent. The whole community was devastated when he passed away. RIP Monty, you beautiful, talented bastard.

Tone
>>39314042

I just saw the description and the mention of the cuts, glad to hear you guys already knew that uncut reactions were allowed and plan to release it that way to YouTube! Thank you for this reaction, and thank you to Isaiah for requesting this! I really hope you do decide to react to the show, it does not disappoint.

Ryan Gordy

If i had the money i would def request them react to episode one of thunderbolt fantasy

Lurkinix

YES I WAS WONDERING IF Y’ALL WOULD EVER DO THIS SERIES

Grey MaGee

I love RT so much, its great seeing you guys react to a truly great series, if you guys do react to the full series I recommend watching RvB after you've caught up with RWBY! Also i forgot how amazing Jeff and Casey's music was in these trailers.

The Answer

OH HELL NAH STAY AWAY FROM THE SHOW RUBY THE FANS OF THATS SHOW IS SUPER CRAZY THEY KNOW TO MORE ABOUT ONE SHOW THAT'S NOT NORMAL 😂 ALSO MONTY OUM MAKE ALL THE TRAILERS BY HIMSELF

Gerardo Hernandez

Monty Oum was working for Rooster Teeth, mainly on their Red vs Blue series (still on-going), when he started developing RWBY in his spare time. Boss man at RT saw concept designs for Ruby's scythe and thought it was cool and decided to give the go ahead on his series. Monty did the trailers on his own (at least the first one for sure), then had an actual team to work on the rest. Sadly he passed away before Volume 3 could come out. Team Four Star even had a tribute to Monty in the opening of the Trunks history episode of DBZA. I know a good amount of people say the series went downhill after Volume 3, but for me I think they had a dip in overall quality in Volume 4 (although a huge leap in visual quality), a BIG dip in Volume 5, then a big rise with 6 and bigger in 7. If you guys decide to make a reaction series out of this you should consult your buddies at Blind Wave for what to expect, fan wise and content creator wise, they did a reaction series to RWBY and are all caught up

Gerardo Hernandez
>>39322824

Sorry if this seems like alot lol, just a big fan of RT and RWBY and excited to see more people checking out the series

Gezno

Marketa: She's armed guys. Me: She Sure is Marketa lol

Mr I like spam

Rooster teeth was before YouTube in 2003

Victor Tran

Unfortunately, RWBY action sequence and story hasn't quite been the same since the original creator Monty Oum pass away. Though it has been getting better in the last season.

TJ Frangie

Damn, I actually was wanting to see you guys react to this ever since you started avatar. Glad you guys seem excited to react to it and I hope you enjoy it. Fun and short for the first bit and then it starts getting to normal show length later on.

Yuvitek

You do not have to edit the videos. Roster Teeth allows reactions to full episodes of RWBY. You even can contact them directly if you want react to it and keep getting bloked with RWBY.

Jason Rodriguez

Can't say I saw this coming but I can't wait for more. By season 3 the onwards your gonna hear alot of VA from different animes like Naruto full metal and even some guys from team four star

Makenna R

I always loved how RWBY always somehow managed to make everything a gun :’) bless them

Anonamai

No need to cut guys.

Anonymous

I see Marketa as Glynda

Yuvitek
>>39324733

"Though it has been getting better in the last season. " Is this a joke?

Victor Tinoco

Pat is like the Michael bay fan aspect of the show 😂

Anonymous

yeah u guys dont need to edit the videos for this series roosterteeth allows all full reactions

Christopher Charles

RWBY is cringe asf and the writing is off putting asf, especially the first 3 volumes. But it’s best moments are A1

Isaac Godoy

Spoiler alert Then saying “she’s armed” still has me dying of laughter

kevin hang

Whoever requested this, thank you. I can’t wait for volume 8

The clapper of all cheeks

Just my opinion but this show is cringy AF and the animation/cgi is trash 🗑 I’m honestly surprised by how many people actually like it

Obito

RWBY ain’t really my thing either but it ain’t all about animation. Some of the best anime’s I’ve watched have pretty lackluster animation and art

good stuff

Man RWBY's always iffy for me. I love the show to bits, but the controversy around so much stuff (that's mostly attributed to toxic fanbase, but that's not new). But hearing RLR Part 1 in the first trailer just re-ignite-d (hah get it) my love for the show.

L

RWBY???? Ewwww. Fuck that shit. Especially nowadays from what I hear about it? Hellllll na.

L

Definitely won't be keeping up if you start it up.

Alex cleveland

Aye lets also get the God of Highschool trailer too lol. The up and coming new and better Dragon Ball.🔥

Craspar

I enjoyed this so much! RWBY is one of my favorite anime ❤️

Theory of Hope

I hope you officially start RWBY on the channel. It would be awesome to see everyone's reactions!

L
>>39353733

Better is debatable. I already know I will still think of dragonball as being better and still love dragonball much more. Although, In terms of writing I get it. Dragonball was never a greatly written series.

L

You don't wanna get involved with ANY of the hardcore fans of this shit. You think fans of anime can get bad.... just you wait lmao

Andre Ransom

The fandom is pretty awful, just a warning. I stay away from most of them except for some reactors. The show itself is great, sure one volume is definitely the weakest of all of them but overall it’s an engaging, crazy ride. The last two seasons that just passed are freaking insane and blow everything else out of the water, in my opinion at least.

Valkyro
>>39360464

fans and haters. for some reason rwby in particular draws in an extreme amount of anger from people, whether it's fans getting mad when you dislike an aspect of the show, or people who just hate the show in general and dont want others to enjoy it.

Kishan P

I used to really like RWBY, but yeah the controversy around it made me drop it. I don't get upset with those that dropped the show cause of it cause I get it, but I am really glad that people still like it and watch it, even though I feel like RWBY did something in a way that was not needed and could of handled it much better. However, I really hope you enjoy the show cause I feel its very unique and action packed.

Anonymous

I am really glad you guys liked it and I look forward to future reactions!

Syllops
>>39349386

Yeah and i think Cringe is cringe, its a stupid concept. Also Games / Movies / Tv shows can be good even when not aged well. I respect the effort other People put into this show. Opinions different.

Blackest Hippy

What the hell is this controversy everyone is talking about? I’ve been with this show for the last 5 years and been hearing nothing but praise from other people.

GraysonWing18

Does anyone know when they will upload this to YouTube without the edits cuts? I don't wanna see their reactions for the first time with all the edit cuts.

Elena Adams

Rwby is really good! I'd love to see yall's reaction to it :)

Anonymous

Fun fact about the Red trailer: Monty Oum made the whole thing himself, except for the song. The modeling, texturing, lighting, camera work, and particularly the fighting and animation were entirely Monty's vision and passion.

Anonymous

Someone else has probably said this but Rooster Teeth won't take your videos down for full length reactions, so you don't need to edit the episodes down, even for youtube! <3

Morgan Le Fay

Regardless of the hate this show receives for later volumes, vol 1-3 are solid. Monty’s choreography was insanely good. The team had trouble recreating his magic after his passing, but they managed to get it to a good place by vol7. Don’t be put off by comments from people that stopped watching 3 volumes ago.

William Pugach

Y’all have got to react to this at least to continue copying blind wave 😘

Sam Epstein

For reference--Roosterteeth allows RWBY reactions to be uploaded in full--all RWBY reactors on YT just upload the full thing without cutting.

Tessa Nyx

So glad you guys watched this, RWBY is uneven but it's beloved by a LOT of people. Would love to see it as a regular thing, maybe once DBZ Abridged is done? Also, please ignore the negativity; while there is valid criticism of RWBY, this is a show with entire Youtube channels devoted to hating on it for petty, entitled, crazy and gross reasons. Just try to enjoy it for what it is. Welcome to RWBY, where everything is also a gun!

DAki

They cut it all up. What’s the point of watching why did the person tell them they didn’t have to cut it up

Franz Jundis

Shout out to whoever requested this. I’ve been ignoring this show forever. I’m now hooked because of this reaction and am in the middle of season five. Yo Surj. Get Will or someone to correct your wrist alignment. If you punch the way you’re doing in this reaction you’ll injure or break your hands when you hit someone bro.

Anonymous

Fun fact, the singer was 11 when she sang the songs for these trailers

DanielleM

Omg, are you guys gonna react to RWBY? Please do!!
