FUN FACT: In the Manga, Shikamaru started smoking after Asuma's death. In the anime, they made him carry Asuma's lighter around instead, because they didn't want kids to be influenced by a fan favorite character smoking

I agree with Micky. They should have watched that filler arc. There's several "filler" arcs in Shippuden that have crucial back story and probably shouldn't be considered filler.

In episode 81, love is not Itachi that's a different member of the akatsuki.

Yup, no one wanted to help Sasuke with his revenge. Everyone tried to dissuade him from it, and berrated him for it. Though what happened to him was MUCH MUCH WORSE than anything that happened to Shikamaru.

Yes but it's not her specialty. She learned that in addition to her main stuff which is her mind transfer stuff. Sakura is strong yes but medical is more so her specialty which is why they tend to prioritize her in medical ways in the show, whereas Ino is trained to be on the field specifically, she just learned medical on top of what else she does.

I'm not the biggest fan of Naruto but that episode 82 was extremely well-done

Look, trust people that have seen the whole thing, stick to skipping the fillers or if you want binge them on your own time. The main story escalates and gets so much better from this arc onwards, breaking it up with irrelevant stand alone missions or flashbacks just ruins the pacing, and sometimes they come after a major cliffhanger that only picks up 10-20 episodes later because of fillers. There's not any relevant world building or info in the fillers, and if there is, it's stuff that's repeated in the main story later...

I would definitely say they have to watch both the Kakashi Arc and Itachi Shinden Arc although the Itachi Shinden Arc isn't filler. There's also some two other arcs near the end of the Shippuden that they'll have to watch or else it'll break the flow.

Rana I need your appreciation for Kakashi to continue because if Nahid gets on the "YAMATO" train like rob then I will be highly annoyed. Growing up I never had a problem with Yamato but watching reactions from rt tv makes me hate him because of rob. He not fucking with Kakashi. Imo Kakashi is top 5. And yo Suraj I agree with you on your view of Shikamaru Shippuden lol. Shikamaru been dope since OG Naruto. He's my favorite character.

This is probably one of my favorite episodes to re watch because theirs so much significance in this episode that you don't see in the first watch. I would suggest re watching this episode once or twice after finishing the arc because I guarantee you haven't seen the full significance of this episode until you do that.

Also, I saw the things Nahid got spoiled on and, hopefully someone reads this..... DON'T WORRY. The biggest spoiler he had already passed, about Asuma. Everything else were vague and someone's name which is actually a new name and doesn't spoil anything plotwise. I want someone to read this so Nahid can stop talking about it and stop freaking out about it. ALSO PLEASE DON'T GET SPOILED ON ANYTHING ELSE. Naruto is a series that has some big ass things to spoil so definitely avoid then. The things Nahid got spoiled on, even if they weren't vague, were still small in comparison. I thought he had some endgame spoilers which totally also spoil the direction the series is headed but luckily he don't know squat about that. lol

animation in episode 82 was a way to emphasize the importance of the Shadows. It’s following Shikamaru everywhere even in the scene where he is playing Shogi with his father. That particular scene is hinting the fact that Shikamaru's Clan work in the Shadows, because they are the strategists and advisors of their leaders. It also remind us that there is no Light without Darkness (=Shadow), there is no Darkness without Light. More over, what you failed to realise is that Shikamaru's Clan special Jutsu is the Shadow Possession Jutsu. That's why it's so « visible » in this episode. The change of animation serve to put more contrast with the Light. It's like the Shadow became a character that is following Shikamaru in his journey of grief and mourning. The apex of this contrast was when Shikamaru told Tsunade why he wanted to avenge Asuma, and he lights up Asuma's lighter. Tsunade’s answer put even more weight on it by saying : « THE SHADOW OF DEATH HANG OVER US ALL » That mean that like Death the Shadow will always be there.

Fun fact: The Character who gave the WAR SPEECH is indeed Troy Baker if you couldn’t tell by his ‘godly’ voice. Yes, Troy voices not 1, but 2 characters in this series.

No we asked them to stop using the subs. The subtitles on Hulu spoil things as Hulu subs write the name of who is speaking. It already revealed the nine tails name for the Normies and judging by other reaction channels it spoils another character too.
