LETS GO

personally disliked this series very much but its also cool watching other people experience something and hearing their takes on it

Chrisman148

ffs really the dub comeon. Not this series.

Danny
>>45827151

rip they wont be hearing my brain trembles in max force

Freddupe

Plz do sub. The dub isn’t as strong as the other shows you guys are watching like Naruto or MHA.

Chukeng Vang

Yeah U guys r going to be confused for the beginning but once the pieces start coming together it’s like wtf just happened

subliminal

The dub..? Jesus christ this group...

godUsoland
>>45827375

Hey, the Dub isn't actually bad. I watched Dub first, then Sub. For Season 1, Both are good. Never checked S2 Dub.

Chukeng Vang

This anime falls in the isekia genre( how there is a shonen genre). It’s a very well known genre in the anime community. And the rabbit hole that is isekia is insane. Also love this anime and it’s probably the best isekia anime to start with. Also also don’t really mind if dub. This anime can be dialogue heavy so it’s good for reaction, but I am a sub guy myself

Zikkara

Damn Suraj and Chris really do be missing from this group tho. I need their hype!

UDONOWABOUTME

Happy that u r watching this now but honestly watch it in sub. The dub is not bad but its that case where the sub ist just waaaaaaay more impactfull. Like the hxh episode where gon talked to pitou you said yourself they could never recreat that in the dub its the same here.

Javier V2221

Oh man I got my hopes up thinking they were gonna watch the sub. My brain trembles and behold an unthinkable present.😞

Max

Lmao at all the people who expected the Normies to watch this subbed 😂 Ya'll always gotta complain

Javier V2221

Why can’t they do what yaboiroshi does and hold a poll for sub or dub when it comes to anime. To me that seems the most fair.

Chaos T

I always found the sub vs. dub argument pretty stupid and easily the silliest source of argument in the anime community. Watch what you want to watch. Besides, every sub reaction where I see a large group of people reacting to sucks because reactors miss a lot. It's frankly a lot easier andcmore efficient for groups to react to dubbed anime.

Kamina 1

Watch the dub over the sub. Better for reaction. Also the dub for this show is pretty damn solid. I watched sub first btw.

Dylan Hughes

I should probably start watching this series lol

subliminal
>>45830584

Not sure how you could think that. There are good dubs out there but this one is definitely mediocre. Watched both the sub and the dub twice.

Suki

Oof, they weren't watching any shows I was interested anymore until now so I was really excited until I found out this was dubbed. Like, some anime have great dubs like Death Note, Cowboy Bepop, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Steins;Gate... but for Re: Zero the vocal emotion in the original just can't be compared. People may say that if they do a poll sub will win just because, but the majority of people know when there's a decent enough dub to do as shown with the split with Naruto for example, and I bet too with the other shows I named.

Azorc

Please change to sub. 1) Majority in the disord channel wants sub(even the ones who watched the dub) 2) Dub fans got a banger in Death Note would be fair that we get Re:zero 3) Its replacing HxH which was sub. So would be fair if its also sub. 4) I'm not saying the dub is trash but the sub voice acting is on such another level that even a good dub cant compare(my opinion)

Storm King

Just to touch on why Subaru did not seemed fazed by being sent to another world. It is implied that he is a nerd like us and watches anime and plays games. Most of us nerds know about the genre Isekai (different world) in which the main character end up transported somehow. So it's making fun of how if this would have happened to a nerd like me I would feel like I'm staring in my own anime story and expect to have awesome adventures. But as you see so far his adventure is not awesome.

Kamina 1

I binged through season 1 of this show in preparation for these normies reactions a few weeks back. Found out I'm not a fan of this show in the least 😂 i was a bit underwhelmed by the whole thing. But i definitely will be tuning in for these reactions! There are a couple scenes in particular that i am excited for you all to react to.

Chaos T
>>45833951

I'm in the middle of watching it now because of this reaction and I have to agree. I do like the show but I feel it has been over-hyped.

Joanaver

The first season is not my favorite, but the second is amazing we learn so many things and the season is not even over, they only just finished the first half. I can't wait for the next part. If I'm being honest, I'm here for the gore and carnage that happens every time he dies. I love people reacting to this.

Yuriichi

So Re:Zero is from a genre called "Isekai" where the main protagonist(s) are transported from one universe to another. The protagonists are usually summoned to stop the world from its destruction and they tend to be gifted with OP abilities that are considered extremely rare or have never been heard of in the world they are transported to. The alternate universes are usually fantasy themed and has certain aspects taken from games of that genre. The main reason why Subaru isn't fazed by his summoning is because he was a big anime and manga nerd (otaku) on Earth and the Isekai genre is very popular in anime and manga, so instead of being terrified, Subaru sees himself as the "protagonist that will save the world," especially when having a power that lets him fix any mistakes he does in his previous life. And the line about his parents being killed should be taken with a grain of salt. Subaru tends to use a lot of hyperbole and exaggerations to get his point across and in this instance, he was basically saying that he didn't care who Felt was or what he was to her, he just wanted the insignia.

Johnny Blue

I started this series because you guys are reacting to it. I'm watching the director's cut in sub, without knowing at first, so it feels like I'm seeing the "better version" judging from the comments on Crunchyroll.

Kamina 1
>>45832964

This is the best argument i've seen someone make so far for sub.

Alex cleveland

This needs to be in Subbed Normies. There will be times where the episodes just has pure emotional speeches and cries. Whenever that happens, it will really impact u when its in subbed. Dub is good, but Subbed is WAYYYY better. Especially for this specific anime. And I have watched both dubbed and subbed. Subbed is a 11/10. Dubbed is 7/8 outta 10. Switch NORMIES PLSSSS😂🤦🏽‍♂️Death Note and MHA and 7DS and NARUTO is all in dub at least yall could do this amazing anime in subbed. do it for the fans bruh

L.C.

Subbed will give you correct information. Information and correct dialogue is very important in a series like this. This series constantly throws you for a loop and if you don't understand what is actually going on it will completely confuse the shit out of you. It is already confusing enough to begin with and although the dub doesn't seem bad it wouldn't work with this series when it gets into more details. Dub always tends to change translation and it won't be good getting deeper into this series. I honestly wish Chris would join in on this because he catches on to things sometimes that the others don't.

Sorin

Sorry, the dubbed for this just isn't that good... Any way you guys would be willing to switch to subbed for this particular show?

Zaj

Seeing the comments, I must agree. I'd love for you to do a poll or something for Sub or Dub, just to see the pretty significant difference in what people suggest. The sub vs dub debate is always there, but this one is likely to be very very skewed in the favor of sub.

PKKite

Just watch dub its always worked better for your reactions

PKKite

People freaking like children lol

WhateverIFeelLike

The dub for this is actually really good and usually gets a lot of praise and support. But like always there’s going to be complaints either way. Having seen both I recommend sticking with the dub, but it’s up to you guys

Chaos T

Wait... some of you haven't seen Groundhog Day?

Anonymous

Will they even check the comments? Hopefully they do bruh. The sub helps with context and such, and with an anime like Re:Zero, which is very emotional, sub is way better. If they do a poll I feel like sub would be voted more honestly, and by a wide margin. Please Normies, make a poll happen. Clearly, from the comments section, many many people are entertaining this idea. Most people understand the intensity of the Re:Zero sub.

samuel lehmas

please watch the directors cut, its better in many ways. Also the sub is way better since there is a lot of emotional scenes which just sounds 10x better in sub.

Theory of Hope

Love watching reactions to Re: Zero since it's a fantastic series but the dub is pretty painful X) I'll attempt to stick with your reactions but I had to stop watching with a friend who watched it in dub because of how bad it was and some of the things they changed.

Freddie marcano

Just give it some time its actually pretty good

Hussin Irfan

Yea I love this anime but I agree that the dub is terrible and not worth watching. I dont usually complain, but I'd recommend switching to sub.

Anonymous

This'll probably get buried with the other pro-sub comments, but you guys should most definitely watch the subbed version. This is a fantastic story, with many scenes thoroughly bolstered by the voice acting. The dub aint bad, but it pales in comparison to the Japanese VA's. At the very least, do a poll and see how people respond. I would imagine its pretty heavily favoring subs; so it would satisfy the majority of patrons. And if you can follow the story of Attack on Titan with subs...you can follow this with subs. In fact, I'd venture to say (like others did above me) it makes this more clear.

Space Mechanic

I think I missed this poll. What other shows was this up against?

Zikkara

Going to echo the “subbed” sentiment. 80% of the time the dub is actually really solid for this series, but unfortunately it falls short in the most important places.

Anonymous

I don't usually complain about dubs or subs cuz either way the experience is the same you know, and this dub ain't that bad...butt.....i feel like a lot of the themes and personality of the show are just completely washed out in the dub man, i just hate how some of the dialogue is switched around, i mean ill watch either way but a poll would be nice to settle things.

Alex cleveland
>>45861417

JoJo I think and the others I forgot. They all were really good anime tho. Re: Zero just happened to win

Max
>>45839774

Why would they change it when they've already made a decision on what version they're watching. If dont like the dub then don't watch 🤷‍♂️

Dbhe

The sub is just so much better than the dub. The dub isn’t bad, but the sub is god-tier

Anonymous

yay Re:Zero is sooo good also ty for doing the dubs I have ADHD so I can't read subbed and watch whats going on at the same time now I have 2 reactions too look forward to this and Naruto! <3

Sorin
>>45841142

"Usually gets a lot of praise and support" Where? I've been around for multiple channels covering this show and my experience has been the exact opposite...

Shane Dunlop
>>45850555

It is? I have heard that there is barely a difference except for longer episode lengths (and an extra scene at the end of the last episode which is irrelevant now). Also, shorter episodes are much better for reactions that include edited versions for youtube including footage as much less needs to be left it?

UDONOWABOUTME
>>45876070

Dont wanna rustle your jimmies but thats not because of ADHD. I have ADHD aswell and that was never a problem. Or i couldnt be watching reactions for that matter.

WhateverIFeelLike
>>45848859

Even when they do polls people always still complain afterwards anyway so what’s the point? (outside of forcing them to switch versions)

allen2dope

This anime starts off pretty slow! don't get discouraged, it gets pretty good past episode 4 imo. Also don't worry about getting confused, you're suppose to be confused lol

Dbhe

Subaru is very self-aware. Isekai (transporting to another world) is a fairly big genre in both Japanese and western YA stories.

Vlad the Third

He is not fazed because he is an anime and gaming shut-in nerd, the transported to another world trope is pretty common in anime. Many weebs with boring or uneventful lives would love for that to happen to them. It's basically a basic generic fantasy world but he applies gaming and anime tropes to it himself because that's what he is familliar with and assumes.

Victor Tran

The generic isekai genre anime is the male protagnist (typically a loser in his world) get transport to a fantasy world where he is all powerful and popular. However, Re: Zero as an anti-isekai challenge this idea by making the Suburu as human as possible and the only way to progress in the story is grow up, be mature and make smart decision.

Rando calrissian

Damn there switching to sub? that sucks I was looking forward watching the crew's reaction really disappointing

TitanMachine

Subaru is the Japanese name for the Pleiades cluster.

Kevin

omg i hope they know its not a video game lol
