Second rendition of our character popularity poll is here! Last week Spiros emerged as fan favorite out of the Greek's criminal syndicate.

This week we'll look at hoppers, soldiers and kings.

Let us know why you voted for such and such in this poll, we'd love to know! Is it charisma? Is it intelligence? We need to know! What makes this character enjoyable to watch for you?"

P.S. I really wanted to add the one and only Omar but I felt like that would rig the polls lol

I'll wait for when Slim Charles is one of the options 😏

I can’t tell you why I voted for Bodie. Just that it’s based on his character so far AND what is coming. You’ll see.

Ruben Lopez

I choose Bell because Avon is a weak leader, he takes things personally, when Bell is all business like a real villain.

Lost Emu

Bodie! Avon a close second.

C Perry

No Slim Charles or Snoop or Chris? Okay. Bodie it is.

If Bodie wins Marketa is gonna be shook on how he won 😂🤫

All fascinating characters but I voted Bodie. With some characters the joy is in watching the struggle between who they are and who they think they are and who they want to be and who the people they respect want them to be. With Bodie the joy is in knowing that all those things are the same. He's flawed and capable of doing terrible things (RIP our boy Wallace) but he's exactly who he wants to be. The tragedy of him is he can't begin to imagine being anything else.

Proposition Joe is smart he has his little store in which he repairs and has an actual skill outside the streets.

I voted Brother Mouzone just because NYC. I love all these characters. I do like how Brother plays against stereotypes of both black men and assassins, looks like a comic book villain and yet feels believable.

Huh? Stringer screwed up the Orlando situation and stringer is the one struggling because Avon is not home. Also Stringer literally slept D girl then had him killed. Name one instance where Avon wasn’t about business? Hell the only other thing he values is family.

Ronnie Shylock

I'm sorry if you already know this, but he's a representative of the real-world Nation of Islam. They dress that way, act that way, and certain elements within have a history of heavy involvement in Black organized crime.

Bodie is my favorite, remains charismatic and likeable despite doing some unlikeable shit now and again, but in context it's hard to really blame him for anything. Take Wallace. Once Stringer had given him the order, what choice did he have? Him and Poot are victims in that situation too IMO. They could barely bring themselves to do it. Anyway, part of Bodie's relatability is the performance by JD Williams, part of it is the way he is written as we start to see him slowly grow into his new responsibilities, part of it is how many great lines he gets. Close behind him is Avon, maybe my favorite TV mob boss/gangster (him or Tony Soprano). Then Proposition Joe, quotable, hilarious, and one of the calmer and more level-headed criminals we've seen so far. Then Brother Mouzone, a very entertaining larger-than-life character. Last Stringer, who's just a snake. A fascinating, complex, well written and awesomely acted snake...but a snake.

Alwyn Smith

I gotta go with Stringer Bell...."that's market saturation"

Bodie>Prop Joe>Avon>Brother>Stringer

Blake

Avon is the only correct answer

I’ve seen the wire 5 or 6 times and I can’t imagine it without Avon. He was more just a villain the first time I saw it. But he became so much more. He represents the old way of doing things, the only ‘king’ that could possibly stand against the likes of Marloe, and he was the first one to be smart enough to really challenge the Wire or even Omar. Plus the actor fit him so well.

Prop Joe is one of the best characters on the show. Straight G
