Kaya giving Gabi the real talk never disappoints

Brian Gerald Ford

Gabi was so funny this episode. Her being terrified at the dinner while everyone else tries to be normal always makes me laugh. Also when the horse incident happens and Gabi's like "those devils!" Gabi is a real treat to watch.

Andy

Isayama is a genius

Chris

Idk why I have a weird feeling about eren I feel like he’s going to do something very bad eventually and scouts are going to have turn against him or something

Kamina 1

It took one episode for majority of you to flip on Gabi "snap out of your brainwashing. Be smart like Falco. Why haven't you rehabilitated yet? Aaahhhhh annoying" holy shit 😂 what happen to you guys in the last 7 days. I feel as though Gabi is the same chick she has been in the last few eps. Isayama just emphasized what we already knew about her. I'm excited to hear this discussion though. Your post episode discussions always give me a better idea of where your minds are at, rather than the immediate in the moment thoughts. See you then guys. Great reaction as always!

Chelle

Gabi is a very realistic character. You can’t expect her to just up and change her entire worldview. She’s clearly been coping her entire life with the hate the rest of the world has for Eldians by directing that same hate towards Paradis. That’s how almost every Eldian has been coping. We’ve seen so many instances of that in past episodes. Someone as open-minded as Falco is extremely rare. How has he managed to be fine with everything that’s happened to him? Thinking logically at that point is borderline impossible, especially when you factor in all the propaganda. He’s very baffling to me in that sense.

HybridThizzle

p annoying that you skipped the intro for the uncut with no help to resync but ehhh cant be helped

DocGreen

This gabi hate is honestly why i hate the anime fan weeboo community. Yall will hate a character for any stupid reason even if its filling out the role they were designed for. Gabi killed arguably the least important character in the show and yall want to act like she killed jean or mikasa. The hate is unnecessary especially when the character is clearly developing and is one of the most real characters in the show. She is just eren season 1-2 again except skilled and the hate is 10x more than what even eren got

people hate Gabi because she's ignorant and can't form her own opinion.. Eren was nothing like that lmao he was in the dark for the first 2 seasons but when the truth was revealed what happen? HE UNDERSTOOD... Gabi gets the luxury of have evrything explained to her still chooses ignorance..thats why Falco is there to constantly remind us of her ignorance so the hate is justified since that was the intent when writing her character

>>54142276

The brainwashing excuse goes out of the window when Falco grew up in the same environment.

Tejan J Salaam
>>54142276

damn why you went at sasha like that? also people can hate who they want to hate? it's all a television show is it not

Chelle
>>54141297

You’ve grown up with child soldiers that have been hated by the entire rest of the world their whole lives for reasons that aren’t even their fault? Somehow I doubt that.

DocGreen
>>54142276

what are you talking about? Gabi was in the dark her whole nd the first semblance of truth she gets is an attack on her home. Eren got the luxury of having his titan memories explain everything for him and have the scouts or mikasa save him at every turn. Eren's was never brainwashed his entire life gabi was. She is basically reiner except she didnt live on paradise for 3 years to see how wrong she actually was

DocGreen
>>54142276

No it doesnt. Falco's family was part o the restorationist so he didnt have the same shit drilled into him that gabi did

Kurumi
>>54142276

Gabi was never in the dark? she has full knowledge of Eldian history since its taught in Marley..Eren wasn't brainwashed? did u forget the king constantly wiped his people's memory.. Eren woke up everyday believing that they are the last of humanity and if one day they killed all the titans they would be free...u know what thats called brainwashing..btw Falco's uncle was a resrtorationist and afterward his family had to obey Marley far more than Gabi's did.. so actually he had it far worse and yet still able to see right from worng.. good and evil. Gabi's thouhgt proccess is rendered illogical as long as Falco is there lol theres simply no excuse you can give that would make logical sense for her.

Kurumi
>>54142276

I knew we weren't watching the same show when he called Sasha 'the least important character"

DocGreen
>>54142276

Are you even watching the show? Jesus christ the first 5 episodes of this seson clearly tell you the propoganda eldians in the interment zones are taught. Thats part o the reason why they are in interment zones. Did you miss when willy told them that there history was completely fabricated. Eren's memories were never wiped that was the people before him and he had his titan memories giving him hints every step of the way that they werent the last of humanity. So no her thought process is not iilogical especially since Falco actually got to meet eren have several conversations with him and see reiner breakdown in front of both of them due to his guilt. I swear you dont be paying attention to the show

>>54138114

You're not the only one. Looking objectively at everything, not only does Eren have the potential to be the single most dangerous person on the planet, he is also very clearly mentally unstable. And to add onto that, he now has radical followers ready to stand in position when he says so, and clearly has no qualms about doing his own thing to get the results he wants. When Reiner said way back that the worst person to have the founding titan was Eren, I really don't think he was off. Eren is a flight risk to the entire world. Could I be wrong? Sure. But, the man has nearly no reasons to be trusted.

DocGreen
>>54142276

She was. She was originally supposed to bbe killed in season 2 but was only allowed to live because a staff member was horrified by her death. But please tell me how she was important. Im sure you can tell me all the character development she had since season 2 ep 2

Chelly
>>54141297

My parents are anti-vaxxers, rascists and homophobes. I was raised under that roof. However, I also had access to other people and information that helped me form my own educated opinions. Gabi and Falco never had that opportunity before Eren showed up. Falco simply accepted outside information that contradicted everything he’d ever been taught without even feeling the least bit conflicted. Maybe it has to do with his uncle being a Restorationist, but his extreme open-mindedness seems almost foolish in a way, even if he’s correct in this instance.

Kurumi
>>54142276

damn man you really don't comprehend what you're watching...the only part that was fabricated was the Marley Hero defeating the king lol.. Marley was unaware that the king chose to the end the war of his own accord..as attonment for the eldians past actions. If eren's memories weren't wiped why didn't he know about anything beyond the walls? use your head dude..btw you're still not explaing how her thinking isn't illogical lol..all you did was reaffirm that some who was raised in a worse condition than Gabi was able to comprehend and come to terms with why things are the way they are

Kurumi
>>54142276

Sasha being an original cast member was essintially the glue holding together what was left of the og scouts.. her death is literally the trigger for the final confrontation you'll see at the end..Issayam writes this story as it goes when sasha was suppose to die in S2 this part of the story wasn't even thought of.. so u can drop that old excuse.

DocGreen
>>54142276

I like how you ignore all my other points. Explain why sasha is such an important character what character development did she have? Pay attention to the damn show. Eldians in marley were taught the king fleed to paridise out of cowardice and that the eldians always on the island always threaten the world. They were taught all eldians were devils but that they could redeemed by serving marley. Thats called propaganda a complete lie. Eren didn't know anything about the walls because the people before him had there minds wiped. And the king no longer had to wipe peoples memories because all the people who were immune to the mine wiping were basically gone. Kenny and levi being ackermans and much older than eren just destroys your whole point right there. If the king was still wiping memories while eren was born levi and kenny would've known evrything but they didn't because the lst major mind wiping happened ages ago

DocGreen
>>54142276

No she wasnt. You could literally make that argument for any of the og cast members . I already read the end that could've been anybody. Sasha literally had no character development past season 2 and characters like yimir and erwin lapped her in importance. If armin mikasa jean or connie died the impact would've been greater or at least the same in connies case. Thats how not important she was. The way a character goes out shows how important they are. Sasha got shot and her last words were meat. Had she been actually developed she would've had far better final words

Kurumi
>>54142276

Do you pay attention? Gabi was front and center during the speech so she knows the truth.. Falco even gives her more of the truth.. she still acts oblivious towards it.. King didn't need to brainwash anymore cause the system was already in place there wasn't a need.. Eren was still brainwashed cause he was still essentially living a lie lol. Being told titans are a evil threat to humanity when in reality its his own people.. You saying sasha didn't get devlopment but was apart of the main cast? Got an enitre episode dedicated to her and her character just like everyone else? still getting development even after her death? but she unimportant right? seems like you're the one not paying attention.. and honestly at this point u might wanna pick up a book

Kurumi
>>54142276

highly unlikely giving the way connie's character is portrayed towards the end of the series if he and sasha swapped places she wouldn't be behaving the same way he does at the end.. its simply not in her character.. this goes to show that you truly don't comprehend what you're watching or reading

Abner Caballero
>>54142276

Yes, Gabi acts insane and can't form her own opinions but that's the whole point. She's brainwashed. She was taught Eldian history, the history that said that her ancestors were tyrants and their crimes so big that the only way to be accepted by others is to give their life and loyalty to Marley. And to hate the ones on Paradis who ran away because they weren't willing to repent and atone for those sins. They're basically kids born to a cult. Some can change their views when presented with the facts (like Falco) but most people in that situation won't think logically and will instead avoid any info that conflicts with what they believe in. Although Gabi is more extremist that the regular cult member [eldian in Marley]. She was like the most fervent believer and just got forced to be on a situation when she can't avoid the truth and has to face the reality that she has been living a lie. And I'm loving her reality check.

DocGreen
>>54142276

All you do is dance around my points. A simple speech doesn't erase a whole decade plus of brainwashing especially since they were attacked during the speech. Falco telling her shit means nothing unless she actually saw eren and reiners conversation or spoke with eren herself. I specifically said WHAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT DID SASHA GET PASS SEASON 2 EPISODE 2? NONE! Armin Mikasa levi ervin even jean got more development past that and jean connie didn't even have episodes dedicated to them. not mention historia and ymir. Being part of the main cast dont mean shit if your character dont develop at the level of majority of the cast. Speak with facts not your feelings on your favorite side character

Kurumi
>>54142276

how am I dancing around it? lmao Falco didn't see it either he's going off of word of mouth and the fact that they both knew of Reiner's mission.. lol bruh just face it you yourself simply can't explain Gabi's ignorance all you keep doing is diverting to Falco which only helps prove my point even more.. you should take your own advice and SPEAK with FACTS not FEELINGS lmao

Thoko

I'll wait for the YouTube version of this. Its annoying to get everything back into sync again when the "uncut" cuts

Thoko
>>54142276

You need to grow up. You don't get to decide which characters are popular and which characters are hated.

Jared

Could you guys please release the uncuts with the discussion? As someone who likes to watch both the pre and post discussion when watching. Youtube release still isnt live and I dont wanna watch without the discussion. edit: Example the way the naruto uncuts are handled is perfect. edit2: rip and there is a skip in the middle of the episode forcing an awkward resync without visual guidance. Guess ill be skipping this uncut.

Jacob

You guys really should read the manga up until this episode because WIT actually butchered mikasa character they changed her up a lot to mainly focus her attachment to eren unlike in the manga she shows that level of compassion to all of their friends

Chelly
>>54141297

I never once said it’s impossible, I said it’s extremely rare for someone like that to exist in this kind of situation. For a child to grow up in that sort of environment and then turn out almost 100% fine is surely possible, I just personally find it very strange that he’s just so accepting of all of this. I hope we get to see how he’s somehow found a healthy way to cope with everything, because as far as we’ve seen he’s the only Eldian that has.

Shockzz1234
>>54161990

Yeah, i really liked WIT's adaptation but they butchered (and i mean BUTCHERED) Mikasa.

D.j. Lachmandas

How can you watch Eren for 3 seasons and not Rock with him in the end. @everyone but nahid

Mar

I understand the anime cut out a lot of Mikasa actually being really caring towards people other than Eren and made her more obsessive than in the manga. But think about their current situation a little, If Mikasa only cared about Eren, wouldn't she be trying to get him out of prison right now? The Mikasa of season 1 would've. Her flashbacks were so well done as well and showed the doubts she has about Eren. When we saw that scene before, it was heroic and Mikasa didn't look scared of Eren, but now it looks terrifying.

Mar

Also, I LOVE Gabi. What a great character.

P V

Gabi Gang Gabi Gang

SeymourAsces

Big disagree on Jean not getting any character development. Although most of his development happened in the first couple of seasons, he changed a lot. He went from a selfish guy just trying to skate his way to an easy life in the military police, to an effective and reliable combat leader. He was a guy who would sacrifice his comrades to survive, but now he’d die for any of them no questions asked.

Chelly
>>54141297

Lol wtf, that came out of nowhere. I never edited my original comment, you just misread/misunderstood it apparently (or maybe you conveniently omitted it from your mind, who’s to say). Either way, I think the fact that you didn’t respond to anything else I said means you don’t actually have anything more to argue about, so I’m gonna stop responding to you now. Bye

Lively Nili

Gabi was thinking it, indicating the Southern Marleyean accent is the same as the one Sasha's father has. It was another hint to Gabi that they're all the same. And Gabi was brainwashed from the jump so yeah it would take a lot of time.
