The plot twist I didn’t see coming at all 😩 it was so well done ✨ Can’t wait for season 2 reactions you’re gonna love it

Curtis

thank you SO much for the double drop

Latt Mee

the truth comes out! thanks for the double drop

This is the episode every Reactor-watcher is waiting for, praying you don't get spoiled in advance! :) One of the all-time TV twists ever. Everyone besides Our Four was playing a part in one of Michael's scenarios. That takes care of all questions like "who's Trevor." I so enjoyed seeing you experience this!

MojoJojoGojo

This was the best moment of the entire series for me

Ryan

Anyone else kinda want to see them rewatch season 1 before season 2? Just so they can see how great Ted Danson’s performance is, he played both sides of Michael perfectly, he comes off so nice but when you know the twist you can see the little evil touches he adds which are perfect.

Rhett Planas

Woo! On to Season 2, which is my favorite out of the whole series! Hope you guys love it too!

That is indeed fun to do (I've now rewatched season 1 for just that purpose many times), but no, I need them to continue to season 2!!

I'll add that I don't know of anyone who truly figured it out in advance, but some have had momentary inklings, as you did, and then shrugged them off. My own moment was in the "motivation" episode, which showed that you didn't get points for good deeds if your motivation was corrupt. That made me wonder, "Well then, what about Tahani, who did her good works only in order to stick it to her family?" But I figured they would eventually explain that, and soon forgot about it anyway.

Ryan

My mom figured it out, in like the second episode to, but she figures out all plot twists, she figured out the 6th Sense twist. To be honest it’s stopped being neat years ago, now it’s just annoying.

Double drop was such a nice surprise lol. I’ve been waiting for this reveal and it was worth the wait.

I love that delightfully maniacal giggle! I love how they layer in the hints throughout the season. One of the immutable rules of television is that anyone who kicks a dog is a BAD PERSON. Knowing Michael is a demon completely transforms Ted Danson's performance on a second watch. Utterly brilliant. That man is a national treasure.

Jarrod Wild

Poor Suraj obsessing over Trevor. The dude really is from the Bad Place and was playing along just like everyone else.

AyPeeElTee .

omg! thank you for the double drop! woohoo!

This is one of those seasons that's so great on a rewatch because you see a ton of hints and clues. Like why does the Good Place have frozen yogurt everywhere. Because humans love to take something great like ice cream and ruin it a little to have more of it. Michael kicked a (fake) dog into the sun. We never see Michael by himself because then there'd be no reason for him to pretend to be good. He needles Chidi about his dissertation. The list goes on and on...

Someone on Reddit figured it out back when it was airing and there was still like 7 more episodes to go. No one agreed with him lol

Danielle
>>65967470

I’m not sure why he was so confused about him. He’s a demon like everyone else except works in the actual bad place

Nikki Sonrisa

Trevor is just another demon like Glenn and Vicky lol

... Michael making Chidi map out unknown territory in the beginning lol so hilarious in retrospect

DD! Thanks so much! I love this twist, S1 is so perfect when you watch it again knowing lol. Can't wait for ep 2x2, probably my favorite ep of the whole series!! 😋👌

Rurouni Wallace

It's like the Normies are out of the Matrix now. Now they know the truth :D

Rain

Tahani's punishment was bullshit. She just wanted to be validated, but she still did a lot of good for everyone else.

It does not matter if you do not actually care. So her points never went up everytime because her motivation was looking better than everyone

Frankie H
>>66248780

From what I've seen so far, the whole point system is bullshit. 90 percent of people going to the bad place means that almost everyone doesn't make the cut. It seems to be a way too strict grading system.

"We never see Michael by himself"... The only times we do are the two earlier flashbacks in this episode, and his conversation with Shawn behind the clown-wall. And those are expertly written to be accurate to the situation and still not give anything away. Michael titling his final blueprint "THE GOOD PLACE" in quotation marks is probably one of the biggest clues, but TV series misuse quotation marks so often, I just shrugged it off.
