Heartbreaking backstory for our favorite corpse-boy :(

They absolutely demolished this episode in the dub…in fact I think I prefer this episode dubbed over the subbed version

Demolished in a good way? Because that word is of putting. But yeah MHA dub is top tier

Iggy

to clear your confusion on why Shigaraki didn't use decay when Redestro was holding him. in the manga Redestro literally ripped his pinky and ring fingers before he held him up the anime unfortunately had to censor it and have Redestro severely break his fingers

Eh to each their own I personally like the Shigaraki sub VA better but for me the biggest issue with the dub is changing lines when it was already good to begin with other than that the dubs alright doesn't make me cringe like that one voice in Food Wars dub

Definitely bro. Shigaraki and Destro's voices are better in sub to me but thats all.

Jared

That laugh from chris lmao

Josue morales

just to clarify the ash effect from shigarakis quirk is a form of censorship in the manga when shigaraki uses his quirk on someone they crumbrel apart leaving different body parts and just a pool of blood

I once had the same reaction in a pizza parlor when my cousin told me Batgirl got paralyzed in the comics I got no defense for that shit I guess I just thought it was funny for some reason

Exactly, the anime finds ways like the gray ash effect to get around censoring problems probably because the TV airing appeals to a lot more kids im guessing, but when its in the manga, its far more visceral and frightening. Which is why shigiraki and stain are far more preferred and beloved in the manga.

The birth of an amazing villain. Love how they thought MHA would never be able to go to this extent of gruesomeness lol. MHA kills people. The manga has even more gruesome panels and fucked up scenes than the anime does.

Di

Lol u guys already know who the “bad man” is. All for one killed Nana. Explained in season 3.

TheDeadSwan

Ya in the manga people fall apart blood n all, there's no dust. Its a form of censorship for the anime

Valkyro

I love the parallel between him and Deku with both being consoled by family but that not being "what they needed to hear". Both Deku and Tomura needed to hear from their families that they could end up becoming a hero despite being quirkless (at the time). And yeah also Tomura needed to not be literally abused, that probably didn't help lol. Also yeah loved the re-reaction to Nana Shimura being his grandma haha. I get it you guys watch a lot of stuff and it's been awhile since S3 so it's understandable, it was just a funny moment when you realized you already knew that

Mob K.O.

Where the video reaction

Alia Yanny

Lmfao Chris laughing when Mon died was so unexpected

C.E. West (Galvastorm)

His quirk reacted to his emotions. All the pain and hatred he felt finally leaked out…

Josh

No Rana for arguably the best episode of the season. Might want to think about finding out which episodes are must watches from here on out so you don’t have people missing out on the biggest moments of seasons/series. Seems to happen a lot.

I think Tomura's family actually standing up for him probably matters WAY more than his dreams of being a hero

"Must watch" is rather subjective. Besides, raising or lowering expectations by telling them which episodes are "must watch" vs "meh" kinda messes with the concept of blind reactions. Being pleasantly surprised or caught off guard, genuine reactions like that are far more entertaining (at least, for me).

Merfhew
>>68692256

That being said, I understand where you're coming from. Personally, I'd rather wait a few extra days and see reactions with 100% participation, regardless of whether the episode is good or bad. I'm probably in the minority though, because people can get really impatient (and grouchy) on here.

Valkyro
>>68664143

Definitely, it was just a connection I noticed since Tomura literally said "I didn't need them to be nice, I needed them to say..." or whatever which was a reference to Deku's whole deal

Josh
>>68692256

I actually did think about what you said about messing with blind reactions while typing my message out, but given the choice between the 2, I’d rather they know the big episodes than miss them.
