Loving the early uploads of The Wire 🙌🏽

Richard Belzer's cameo in this episode was an awesome TV moment. His character John Munch was first a Detective in Baltimore on the show "Homicide: Life On The Streets", which takes place in Baltimore and is kind of a prequel of this show. Hence why he knows the bar on "The Wire". Then he left Baltimore and became a Detective in NYC, hence why he's on "Law & Order". So "Homicide", "The Wire", and "Law & Order" all exists in the same universe. As does "The X Files", Munch appeared in an episode of that show as well, which is fucking awesome. Detective John Munch is The Watcher of TV cops.

Appreciate the straight face during the Omar/Michael scene, Chris!

In another The Wire/reality cross over, Clay Davis's lawyer Billy Murphy was played by Baltimore lawyer Billy Murphy.

I swear anytime y'all mention Kenard I'm like... ooohhhh just wait!!!

You forgot one important detail - John Munch's character is inspired by the real-life Jay Landsman (showing them together in the same bar is a bit of an in-joke). :)

Savino was the guy with longer hair who turned himself in after Greggs was shot (he wasn't one of the shooters, but the one who drove her and Orlando into the trap). He looked a lot different in Season 5.

Yeah they just reacted to this scene. Surj was really pretty upset about what happened

You mentioned the theme songs. S5 is performed by Steve Earle (singer, also plays Bubbles’s sponsor). S2 theme is the original song as first written and performed by the legendary Tom Waits
