Nikolai Stoykov .

Tyranus is Dooku’s sith name, just like Palpatine’s is Darth Sidious, we heard Tyranus multiple times in the Prequels too. Also, Ventress can’t beat Dooku alone, of course she needs help, Dooku is one of the best Duelists ever, love how badass he is in this episode, there’s a reason he was Sidious’s apprentice. And him vs Ventress and the 2 nightsisters, top 5 lightsaber duels in the show.

Obsidian

One of my favourite arcs in the series

Nightsisters is 3x12 - the caption is wrong

This "only the Sith use two lightsabers" theory is weird. I don't know where Chris read that. Anakin uses two lightsabers from time to time. He's not a Sith yet. Two episodes ago in "heroes on both sides" Ahsoka had two lightsabers on her hips. She doesn't use them, but she has two lightsabers in that episode. I don't think there's any rule that prohibits Jedi from using 2 lightsabers at once.

Aww yeah, now we're getting to where the show really kicks into gear. Looking forward to this run of episodes... and the next... and the run after that.

Chris lightning is literally Dooku's signature move he uses it a lot

Suraj what you need to understand is that a Sith’s relationship with their apprentice is a lot different then a Jedi’s because Sith’s view their apprentices as merely pawns that they can manipulate and even kill to accomplish their goals.

That's not entirely true, may be for Plaguis but the rule of two is supposed to be a passing down of knowledge and power that ends with the apprentice killing the master and becoming one, is just a cycle, Like There's behind the scene reason palps treats everyone so shitty is because he doesn't think they're caple enough to surpass him, Except for Anakin before he got his limbs cut off

ElBilbo

Dooku's name is just Dooku. Darth Tyranus is his Sith name.

Isn't there also an understanding between Sith master and apprentice that one day the apprentice will try to kill the master? I am probably mixing up some KOTOR stuff with the modern canon.

Gershwin Alessandro Farao

I thought Chris was supposed to be the Star Wars expert. Darth Tyranus is Count Dooku's sith name.

Something cool about Dooku, is not only is he currently one of the top lightsaber duelists alive, with the only ones I know that are better being Sidious and Yoda, but I believe there are 2 or 3 more, but when he was a jedi training under Yoda and even later, he believed that the Sith were going to return, even though no other Jedi believed it, so he dedicated himself to learning and perfecting form 2 - Makashi, which is a lightsaber form for single combat specifically against another lightsaber wielder. It impressive because no other Jedi at the time wanted to learn or cared for the form because they thought Jedi would never need it again. It's also why his saber is curved, its design is more suited for form 2. Essentially, you could describe Dooku's time as a Jedi as, "While you all were relaxing I studied the blade."

Also, as a side note - Makashi is based on fencing, and that's because Cristopher Lee was a world champion fencer, and used the style in episode 2

Sammy

btw on the tag for the video. It is Season 3 Episode 12, not season 2 episode 12
