2 years...... the wait between seasons was 2 years......

This was the ultimate cliff hanger show before AOT came back

Considering Code Geass came out about 15 years ago, Nina was one of the 1st anime characters revealed to be lesbian.

Waiting about one year inbetween seasons for me was torture. But something about that suffering and having strong emotions towards the show made Code Geass into one of my all time favorite animes.

And thus Nina invented the Super Nuke. Inventor of a WMD, stalker of an innocent princess, enough pent up racism to make the Klan blush, and the bitch who raped and took Table-kun's innocence. Probably the only character easier to hate than the Emperor.

I feel like something you keep forgetting is that Lealouch's goal isn't really the liberation of Japan. It's the destruction of Britania and to make a world where Nunnally. Nunnally takes priority over everything else and then followed by the Britanian revenge stuff. Those are his "ends", and his "means," the things he uses to meet those ends is the Japanese Liberation stuff.

I don't know if I'd say that's entirely true. Yes, obviously Lelouch is fueled very greatly by a desire to destroy Britannia and create a better world for Nunnally, and I admit he'd probably use whatever means he could to accomplish this, but while I don't always agree with his methods, I don't think you can say he doesn't care about the Japanese Liberation whatsoever. Part of the reason he detests Britannia is because of what it represents and the effects that their ideology had on his family and life. On multiple occasions Lelouch makes it clear he detests the taking of innocent life (in his own perspective, of course), and he even was going to work with Euphemia to work towards a more peaceful means of accomplishing his goals. Like most people, Lelouch has multiple goals, motivations, and emotional states, some of them conflicting - you can't simplify his character down to one single state perspective.

Wait was over a year. Almost two years and very hard - when the show was new. And the show changed time slots too, to appeal to a slightly younger demo, so the first couple episodes of season 2 (non spoiler) are confusing/have to reintroduce the entire show premise for a new audience. The toy line came out during the gap between season one and season 2. So season 2 has a lot more special nightmares for kids to buy. The show goes through a lot of changes. Not that I can complain, I have most of those toys lol

As for the bomb/Nina - the materials for her bomb were given to her by Lloyd. Remember he visited Ashford and looked over Nina’s “research.” Then, in another ep, Nina mentions getting a “gift” from Lloyd and Rivalz calls Lloyd a womanizer. Funny, since Lloyd is asexual (though he’s engaged to Milly and once dated Rakshata, so he gets around a lot for an asexual science bro)

I totally forgot about the "gift" she got and I've watched this many times! Also the engagement is pretty much only for the political benefit of the Ashford family, I doubt Lloyd cares at all about it. It doesn't affect his science so he doesn't care one way or another

I look forward to these more than the Naruto Shippuden ones at this point. Very good stuff guys 👌

mmmm Revolutionary girl Utena and Sailor moon was much earlier than Code Geass. Maybe if you counted the girls from Ranma 1/2 being cool with Ranma being a chick and a man then they might count to.

What replaced Mob psycho?

It should be noted that Euphy and Cornelia never named Lelouch as Zero

Rewiring a brain impacts the memory right before. Makes the leadup to the Geass hazy. It took Viletta several episodes/half a season (and weeks of story time) to remember that she saw an Ashford student before blacking out and handing over her knightmare

But Euphy and Cornelia knew it was Lelouch and still never said his name. But I know what you're saying.

Yes, Euphy and Cornelia deeply loved Lelouch and Nunally as they were very close growing up. Euphemia loved them even as she was dying and Cornelia still loves Lelouch, but sees Zero as something that corrupted him.
