Cordy episode 🥳🥳

CWall

Where is the finale reaction?

Manuel A. Perez

Glad to see Suraj aka Mr.Giggles back, did you catch up with the previous episodes? One more episode to the finale and then we jump into season 2 where the show takes off. :)

Ryan

Let’s not over sell it to them, it’s the back half of the season that is god tier, although the front half does have some absolute gems in it.

EJ Roldan

Exactly, season 2 is a step up from the 1st, but the second half is where its at

Ryan

Rana doesn’t steal Suraj’s jokes, she repurposes them for greater effect.

Ryan

They’re not talking to Patrons like us when they say that stuff in the opening, that’s just advertising for their Patreon aimed at non patron’s

Kamina 1

When Suraj impled that Angel is batman. Me: "Ya don't say? 😏"

rickie woodson

buffy day, yay yay yay, its buffy day, and suraj is back too! YAY!

rickie woodson

interesting choice to choose a filler as the penultimate episode.

rickie woodson

oh harmony, how i love her! dont remember if its season 2 or 3 but most likely season 3 since THEY come in season 2 and we have to get rid of HER first so HE can do the thing.........but i love how 90s cher she is. clueless but fab

rickie woodson

they setting stuff up alright...........FOR SEASON 4! maybe. its the only thing i can relate it to and even that is a MAJOR stretch. men in black dudes that just came out of no where with no explanation lol THE CONFUSION!

The first two seasons of Buffy had a handful of standalone Monster of the Week episodes that paid homage to the horror classics. Vampires are covered already obviously. We had The Wicked Witch in episode 2. This was their take on The Invisible Man. Keep an eye out for more as the show progresses and see if you can call them out.

The ending is really disturbing and a good commentary on what type of individuals governments recruit for that sort of "job".

Bisibia

Almost every episode we've seen tbh... Creepy puppet, Robot, Nightmare Demon too. They're all pretty big horror tropes.

Fuiono Ching Sung

True. The horror tropes are def all there. But I was referring more to the great horror classics. Think of all the bad guys in the movie Monster Squad: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Werewolf, the Creature from the Black Lagoon. You know - the major horror classics.

@eric.na.goo.yen

YOOO if y’all watch “The Faculty” I’ll be so happy. That movie is slept on fr

@eric.na.goo.yen

When you guys started watching Buffy, there were certain episodes that stood out in my mind as “I can’t wait to watch them react to this episode”… this is one of those episodes for sure! I love the ending. It always made an impact on me.

Ricardo Obregon

Woooo another one, and next one is finale, omg finally here, cant wait for season 2

Alicia

The dialogue for Cordelia this episode is so fucking hilarious.

Kamina 1

Unfortunately they may never even watch Angel. It'd be great if they watched the two shows back to back as they aired on television.

So, an interesting detail of 90's intros is kind of exposed here, as many people are surprised by a Cordy episode. There's a bit of a thing that has to do with the intro sequence. Every actor shown in the title sequence is a main character of the show. So, this entire season, Cordelia has actually been a main character just like Willow and Xander. She's just been given much less screen time. Still, she finally got her own episode. So, when an actor is in the main intro credits, they are like a salaried employee. They get paid whether they are in an episode or not, so they always make sure to have them say at least one line in every episode. This may seem kind of silly to say, but later on in the show, this will become a big thing. If the credits change, it has a big effect on the show. Also, just a tip. Execs had a lot of say in things and they cared little for spoilers, so as a general rule, in episode 1 of any season, avoid watching the intro credits before watching the episode. Even if the cast doesn't change, they change the clips in the intro and they invariably insert some spoilery credits that can at times spoil the first episode.
