In the latest episode, CC's memories offered us an interesting take on immortality. How do you feel about the concept of immortality? Is there a universe (movies, anime, tv shows, books, our world?) in which you could see yourself living forever & live happily?

Ya know... I could see myself living a kingdom hearts type of universe forever lol. Disney never ends, so I'd always have new worlds to visit. And the concept of the heart and soul is so strong in that universe that the dead wouldn't feel so far away. Idk, that, or star wars. Then you could just learn the force and kick it with force ghosts all the time lol

HIM

On a serious note, though, I do believe immortality sucks. I believe in reincarnation, and that it is meant for us to live, die, and repeat over hundreds or thousands of lifetimes in order for our souls to grow and develop into something more. Immortality would only stunt that process, and unless you want to live as a Diety, there's truly no purpose in it at all.

Mr. Big Stuff

I’d say add on a 100 extra years to my life but no on the immortality

MoxiePoxy

Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted to live in the Pokemon world, so why not be immortal there? 🤣

Yaal should watch Neon Genesis Evangelion

I wouldn't want to be immortal in any fictional universe except maybe living under the Federation in the "Star Trek" universe.

GreenDragon

I'd love to be immortal in any world. The crisis of life, and the fact that I WILL die someday is a constant driver and a constant poison to me. It makes me work harder and achieve more, but because I don't want to look back on myself as a failure when I'm going to die and that I believe is a big part of my current mental issues that I was dealing with for the past few years. If I could remove that, I would have new problems but it wont be existentialism. Plus if I was immortal I could do, and learn everything that I have ever wanted to do. Live 1000 lives and not worry about fucking up. There is no end for my potential. Hopefully eternal youth is lumped into immortality or it will suck.

Impossible to say how you'll feel over entire lifetimes and generations. Overall I think I could do it as I live fairly isolationist as is, but obviously that's just right now. the biggest deciding factors are ageing and really society. Definitely wouldn't want to be immortal with alzheimers and arthritis or some type of degenerating disease, and I'm jaded by comforts of society (but of course I've got all the time in the world to learn to not be like that).

MojoJojoGojo

That CC pic tho...I'll be immortal for her if she's down

DarthCaedus

Being immortal in the Pokémon world could be dope.
