This is why I became a Patreon member lol

Flora Smith

I HAVE A GLASS OF WINE, RANA IS BACK AND ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD RIGHT NOE

Tim Pierce

You guys gotta stop missing episodes. I know you catch up on your own, but we're in the heart of the season and it ain't the same without a full crew.

Agreed, not all episodes of course but we told them months ago which episodes are huge plot development episodes. I get that breaks are important but there has got to be a way to plan the schedule appropriately when you have so much notice. Even if there's a week delay I'd rather have a full couch for the few big moment episodes. I hope in the future they listen to our recommendations.

Rain

Damn I wish Micky was here for the ballbusting scene lmao

Effy

Out of all the episodes to miss, this wasn’t the one! Is there a poll we could do to prevent this from happening in the future? But it was pretty obvious that this would be an important episode just from the way the last one ended.

Effy
>>90296587

Oh, you did? That was my idea, a poll. But even for the rest of the series Innocence is top 5 in regards to game-changing-ness. I was so looking forward to this episode- it’s why I subscribed.

Flora Smith
>>90296587

Agreed! I don’t want the major eps to be spoiled as being major eps but I’ll take that over people missing

Chelsea
>>90296587

There are 7 of them. I feel fortunate that Buffy even gets a couch that full.

Faction Paradox

They atleast seem to avoid the trap of thinking that it was literally sex that made it Angel lose his soul. So many people seem to make that mistake.

Sam

Honestly, ever since I first watched the show I never liked Angel (soul or no soul) and I probably never will LOL. Also I feel the need to point out that Giles and his glasses acting is *iconic*

Tmatts
>>90301740

Same, I could never get over the underrage girl-100s year old vampire love saga. I don't care how anyone or the show tries to justify it

Twiska Brand
>>90301740

I liked him on his own show. I thought he was just two-dimensional on Buffy. But I liked him as a villain.

Twiska Brand
>>90301740

Same. He's an experienced man, and she falls in love for the first time. I never understood why. He's smooth because he has so much more time on earth to be in relationships. I don't mind underage sex between people of the same age if it's tasteful and non-pornographic. Many of us do it; that's what I did in high school. Art reflects reality and all that. But not when the couple's mental age and emotional maturity are so far apart.

Cory Garron

Regarding Angel's demon/soul. While he was Angel he had both the demon and the soul. He's carried the burden of the soul for 100 years (1898-1998) but still had the demon (and its various strengths, weaknesses, and desires), which made for a constant internal conflict. So 145 years with a demon but no soul = normal (but extra cruel and vicious) demon Cursed 100 years with both demon and soul Now present (well January 1998)

Selena

Ah the surprise big bad of season 2: Angelus. Wish we had the full couch for this reaction

rickie woodson

buff buff, buff buff buff bu-buff buff, buff buff buff

Effy
>>90301740

In Buffy the vampires weren’t written as being their actual ages, except for maybe the Master. If Angel was played like Lestat or Bill, it would be weird. It’s only on his own show that Angel gets to mature.

Rufus May
>>90298348

In the discussion they specifically acknowledged that he could have sex as long as he wasn't in love.

rickie woodson

thats a horrible analogy chris. they have vengeance against fire starters (vampires) not fire fighters (slayers). a better analogy is: oh theres a fire. im not going to help stop it. im just going to fuck up the arsonist

rickie woodson

no no rana. back off! oz is MY man. you wanted bad boy angel, enjoy the bad consequences that come with that choice! that good man oz is all mine, from day one. love at first sight. nice guys always finish first in MY world

rickie woodson

well spidey brought it up so i dont think its a spoiler now so.........#spinoffs

Danielle

We definitely need to find a way to like notify y’all on certain episodes that absolutely NO ONE can miss!!!

R3v1v4L

Pat’s reaction to when Cordelia told Xander that he’d never die for her 🤣 I need both Pat and Suraj for episode 16. Please let them know 🗣

Calvin Allen
>>90298348

Well the show(s) doesn't help make it less confusing. As we will see it will often be said that it was the sex specifically, when in reality it was the circumstance.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

This episode was really where the show stepped up and we the audience realised that this was not just some silly vampire show, but one addressing very real things that people go through in life, but presented through fantasy. Buffy & Angel were so huge and this happening was a huge shock at the time. It’s also where Sarah really shows her acting range. You feel that devastation. Plus David B plays these two dramatically different characters brilliantly. It’s still one of the most exciting and emotional episodes of TV for me. And Giles at the end as her surrogate father always brings a lump to my throat. I love that relationship. Glad Rana was here for this too. The only disappointment is seeing Pat seemingly enjoying a woman being emotionally humiliated by a man. Liking Angelus as a great villain is one thing, revelling in him hurting her is quite another.

Chris V
>>90298348

I hate when people think that. It's obviously the bliss of becoming one with the person you love. While sex is still great (most of the time) whether you're in love with someone or not, it hits different when you are madly in love with someone.

BetheSOUL

Aaaand now that Rana is back, Suraj gets on my shit list. To be honest, for certain episodes (the fans will tell you which ones), I'd rather you postpone their release if it means we'll be able to get everyone on the couch for them, personally.

BetheSOUL
>>90319389

Mo'fucka, we need them ALL on the couch. As soon as we demand someone's presence for a particular episode, someone else is absent

Ricardo Obregon

Wooooooh! We're finnaly here, the crossing point of the series where its ride or die from here.... best episode best reactions, only gets better! Wooooh!

CWall

Y’all need to add The Sandman to your watchlist

bits
>>90297610

This is SUCH a great idea Effy, they should do that for all the shows. They could do a poll before every season and the top 3 episodes get full couches, it'd be so easy and so rewarding

WineCheeseGoats

Ok, that was worth waiting for! Now really looking forward to the uncut versison of this too. Special shout out to Marketa, "That's my fucking purse!" You go Bobby :)

Chris V

Effulgent

Vicky N

Rana is right, Angel with or without a soul is still a vampire. So all the rules, such as entering a human’s private home still apply.

M.

Chris acts like he's never seen Buffy but he referenced it half a dozen times in the Firefly reactions 🤔

Stephen Mintac

I agree! Buffy deserves a Full Couch especially from now on. 🤣😍

K Murray

Suraj and Micky reaction when?

Nick Earl

At this rate it'll just be Pat on the sofa for the S2 finale lol

Ash Lee Can
>>90296587

I'm sure they have lives outside of reacting. There's a lot of them as well. Getting 7 people to react every single time, especially with all of the million other things they react to? Just appreciate that they're FINALLY reacting to Buffy at all...

Tim Pierce
>>90296587

We're not asking all 7 of them to react to every episode. Absolutely they can take time off, we don't need all 7 of their takes on Tector and his brother, but some episodes are pillars of the show, and this was one of them.

Mariah Fallon
>>90331642

Seconding this. Totally understand that you guys can't always be there, but please just postpone. Or when you realize there was a big twist in the ep, do a solo reaction and edit it in?

BetheSOUL
>>90298348

Lol, Corey, watch the discussion sometime, then you won't look so silly. You big dummy, you.

BetheSOUL
>>90333551

Watching that right now, I'd definitely watch it again with the Normies

BetheSOUL
>>90393253

Chris, Rana, and Suraj, if memory serves, all mentioned in the first episode that they've seen some of Buffy a while back
