Fearing that he will once again break a promise, Obito uses the last of his power to bring Sasuke and Sakura back, but the thought of his inability to protect Rin nags at him as he loses consciousness.

Why don't you have someone to tell you what episodes are mostly filler and where to start the episode? You coulda just reacted to the last few minutes and moved on to the next ep. lol I mean the flashbacks ARE given new context but they didn't need to show ALL THAT.

Also Obito was late to being a shield too and Rin was watching over him to make sure he was on time. (Kakashi was also always known for being late as a sensei because he was always spending time at Obito and Rin's memorial stone. And probably as a way to pay homage to Obito. I like that this is something that's just subtly in the show this whole time but not emphasized, you just have to remember to think about it and be like "oh yeeeaaaahh" lol)

I remember when the Obito reveal first happened... It felt so badass then, and I loved that twist, but I feel like Obito as a story element was just drawn out way too long for me to be really emotional about it when he finally died. He's got to have more repeated flashbacks than any other character, I swear. I honestly feel like it would have landed a little better if he had died way back when he split with Madara, in that moment right after he'd first been redeemed, brought over to our side.
