If you’re hating on Angel when he didn’t have control over his actions you have to keep that same energy for every character that’s been controlled. Last time I checked y’all like Bucky in the MCU.

Tim Pierce

I like to think the Glove of Meddigone controlled all elements, and we only seen the she-watcher use lightning.

Similar situations. Neither of them were in control over their actions. While were on the subject Angel has definitely done more good in the world than Buffy. You don’t know that because you haven’t seen his entire journey.

Woooo! Another good buffy episode, i kind of think of this one as a B Level episode, its good nut mainly focused on Faith, still great episode, and last weeks was even better reactions, last weeks was so funn withband candy.

The major difference is: Bucky is Bucky being controlled Angel is Angelus being controlled... Angel only exists because of the spell. Angelus is who he truly is.

Great comparison! Normies, can you bring this up if possible? Would love to hear this debated.

Bucky wasn’t Bucky he was the Winter Soldier that killed and murdered hundreds of innocent people over the course of 70 years and you can see the difference and excuse him for that. Give that same grace to Angel. Angel doesn’t exist because of Angelus he exists in spite of him. You don’t know the full story but I do.

Do you not understand what I’m saying? Angel does NOT exist because of Angelus he exists in spite of him. I’m not going to spoil the Angel series but Angelus is not who he really is

Agree with Suraj that this was a inconsequential episode in regards to the monster of the week, ut a big one in setting up some of the interpersonal dynamics that are consequential to the rest of the season.

This makes no sense bruh. Angel is who he truly is when he has his original soul from when he was human. Angelus is the demon that took over his body when he died and became a vampire. Saying Angelus is his true self is idiotic.

Bisibia has been sleeping throughout the whole series, apparently. MF doesn't even understand the basic vampire lore

Oh man I can't wait for the next run of episodes, there are some winners. *Cough* A surprise double drop would be reallyyy niceee, just sayin 👌

I like that you guys are finally getting out of the Xander wagon for all the hypocritical stuff he do/says

Xander definitely has his moments, but can also be a likeable character for the most part.

Teenagers have contradictory thoughts and feelings. They act on those feelings. Human beings seem like they have inconsistent morals because 99.9% do not possess axiomatic foundations that presuppose their actions. There can not be an inconsistency if there isn't a belief structure. It would be like saying that a Muslim is being a hypocrite for not following the teachings of the Bible. We can say that Xander is acting hypocritical based off of our morals but we do not know his.

his hypocrisy only seems to get worse as the series goes on

Really looking forward to the next 2 episodes of Buffy (Lovers Walk and The Wish). Definitely 2 of the best of season 3 and 2 of my personal favourites!

Yes the next 2 are some of the best of season 3 and some personal favourites of the series for me

Justin Brinkley

If I'm recalling correctly, Nerf Herder did redo the song for opening credits for S3. They definitely upgraded the opening for this season as well. Not sure if someone had already answered this for you all. I love episode 7's.

For season 3 episode 7 of Buffy. Someone really needs to smack Xander just one good time or perhaps several times. That episode was basically episode 2 part 2 where you have the scoobies who are understandably upset and confused but the way they’re going about it is still very wrong and in the end they proved Buffy right that not telling them about angel was the right call (even though I think she should’ve told Giles at least). Verbally attacking Buffy and not really allowing her to at least explain herself is really infuriating. And Xander and plainly being jealous even though he’s in a relationship with Cordelia and cheating on her with willow .Can muster up the audacity to be jealous of angel still is kind of equal parts a wonder and disgusting.

Exactly! Dude has the nerve to get jealous of a girl that’s not even his girlfriend kissing another guy. Meanwhile he’s cheating on his Cordelia with willow. Ugh a mess.
