Orihime awakens to her power to fight off a powerful body-snatching hollow, and it looks like things are getting out of hand for Uryu.

Matthew Bankston

His name is pronounced "Ooo-Ree-Yoo". So excited you guys are double dropping this.

Malik Black

Hopefully when they react to every Bleach opening they include “Number One”

Neal Cabanos

Ichigo - DPS Uryu - Archer Chad - Tank Orihime - Healer

This isn't really a spoiler, but think of spirit energy in Bleach like the Force in Star Wars.

Through various combinations of the six fairies, Orihime has the power to reject phenomena by denying or undoing events in various forms. This power can be used for attack, defense, or healing (depending on the combination). Santen Kesshun (三天結盾, Three Sacred Links Shield): is Orihime's defensive technique. It repels attacks by placing a shield between the enemy and target. Sōten Kisshun (双天帰盾, Twin Sacred Return Shield): is Orihime's "healing" technique. It surrounds something to return it to its former, complete state.[275] It rejects, reverses, and reconstructs phenomena that have occurred. Koten Zanshun (孤天斬盾, Solitary Sacred Cutting Shield): is Orihime's offensive technique. It rejects the fusion of matter and splits it. The incantation summons Tsubaki, who has the ability to repel "both sides of the shield." He breaks through the enemy, puts up a shield inside, and repels the combined substance, splitting the enemy in two. notice her attacks are 3, 2, 1. she is literally BOMB

guess mickey never saw sailor moon. or naruto. or dragonball z. saying attack names is very common in anime. "moon tiara, magic!" CLASSIC

wtf.... who in their right mind doesn't like the soundtrack? Number one baby

Number 1!?!?!? Worst take imaginable. Also Ichihime every second of the minute. All day everyday.

So one fun things about Ichigo's friends getting powers based on being near him is that there is a definite reason why Chad and Orihime got powers but Tatsuki, Keigo, and Mizuiro didn't. Orihime was a spirit during the battle with her brother and ended up in the thick of it during the fight and Chad was throwing hands at the serial killer hollow. Meanwhile Tatsuki was mostly away from the fight with Orihime's brother and so can only vaguely see hollows but doesn't have powers. And Keigo and Mizuiro, the two miscellaneous friends haven't been involved with any of the battles so they haven't been shown sensing spirits at all. I just think it's a neat thing Tite Cubo did to kind of subtlety add reasons for why the specific people got their powers rather than any of the classmates.

They have no idea the hellish door they're opening with the Ichihime vs Ichiruki debate, oh god.

Kayso

Yep Micky you're right, the hollow that Orihime fought is granny Chiyo's VA 😂

Shockzz1234

"so far, these female characters are better written than Naruto's" yeah, and that will remain true. Also, it's not that hard, Naruto's women are horribly written for the most part lmao.

And the start, i can see it, but once a certain character is introduced and his past with Rukia is explored, it's pretty obvious who is gonna end up with who there. You Ichiruki shippers only have yourselves to blame, you had near 2 decades to accept your fate!

Only other person I know who doesn't like it is Lycan from Double Dragon Bros lmao but maybe it'll grow on Navi

breh Naruto female characters are trash except tsunade. and even then its hard to say sometimes. but bleach got nxt level females. we all know who number 1 is xD. easily number top 3 of any female character in anime

Honestly, even diversity-wise, Bleach slaps most anime. In other anim most characters of color are just caricatures. While Kubo specifically makes them be more interesting than just their stereotypes.
