the only real way to say bankai. without the pause is heresy

Reynaldo Urena

Finally, the introduction of Bankai, one of the coolest power mechanics in any fictional work ever. Can’t wait for the crew to choose which Bankai is their favorite, mine is Mayuri’s. Would you guys be willing to react to the Bleach bankais in japanese in a seperate video after it’s introduced? They just sound so fuckin cool

Hank yang

damn I WANT EP44 so badly lol

Robert Nguyen

Can we do 4 episodes of bleach instead of 2!?😭😭

Nabeshin

Zabimaru is a nue. This is a creature from Japanese mythology. It's a chimera with the head of a monkey, the limbs of a tiger, the body of a tanuki (raccoon dog), and a snake for a tail. - You guys are coming up on episode 54. This is where you should start reacting to the after-credits scenes, if you haven't already. Up until now, it's been "Illustrated Guide To Soul Reapers", where Kon introduces a member of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Episode 54 is the start of "Illustrated Guide To Soul Reapers: Golden", which are 30-second shorts pulled from side-chapters and special pages of the manga. 👍🏼

Mayuri kurotsuchi absolute evil, but also one of the best mad scientists in anime and a personal favorite of the series.

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

To be precise they said that Kenpachi's sword is always in Shikai like Ichigo's.

Danny

i believe the author himself said Mayuri was his favorite lol

Oshi no ko episode 6 waiting room

Benjamin Donahue

As far as Japanese names go there are suffixes they add to words that basically make it a name, but I don't know if they maintain their base meaning at that point: maru - You looked this one up, no idea if it aplies in names suke - no idea on this one ko - This is the only one I think is female specific (at least I don't recall any guys name ending in ko and often in cross dressing gags guys will add or change ko to their name) jin - This term deals with people and implies personification so it often also conceptually translates as a god i.e Fuujin/Wind God, Raijin/Thunder God, Ryujin/Dragon God Zabimaru's name is actually pretty simple. Combination of: Za from Saru - Monkey (there are rules that make S and Z often interchangeable) bi from Hebi - Snake maru - as above Most names can be broken down this way but definitely all of the Zanpakuto names can be And the Shingami uniform is called a shihakusho

bondbond53

Mayuri is the Orochimaru of Bleach

rickie woodson

the toy you are talking about were called skydancers and they had their own syndicated tv series as well including the boy versions. very captain planet

Imari

Oshi no ko pls 😭 omg

Brakthir

Oshi no ko dammit

ispeckz--
>>109234682

Ah yes because Orochimaru originated the mad scientist trope. Mayuri is way more intimidating and intuitive.

bondbond53

Tbh it's mainly because this Oshi no Ko episode is so good that we all are impatient lol

greenb3ar

Here for the OnK waiting room

JD310

Damn the dub of bleach cuts out so much audio compared to sub it didnt even call yoruichi flash master or anything

Quelz

Again, the numbers of the captains are not a rank in strength, that only applies to Squad 1 the old man who is Commander-General and definitely the strongest captain. Squad 11 specializes in combat but all squads have fighters, like an army, 11 is simply just the vanguard of the Gotei 13.

AOArlert

Damn, Oshi no ko blocked because of copyright 😭

Greg Harrison

"This video contains content from KADOKAWA CORPORATION, who has blocked it on copyright grounds" for Oshi.

How does that work? There are tons of reactions for the episode all over youtube.

bondbond53

OnK fans can't catch a break damn...

Nermin Selimovic

peetskeet

Maybe a Vimeo upload for the patrons? If possible of course

Kayso

Loved Yoruichi and Byakuya's flash step battle. Also can't wait for Uryu vs Mayuri. So nostalgic. Bankai 🔥🔥🔥

So about this episode of Oshi no Ko: This episode was based off of a real incident with a female wrestler who was cyber bullied in a reality tv show. The incident allowed the Japanese government to amend laws to crack down on online harassment. The law going from a minimum of less than 30 days detention time to 1 year in jail with a fine of 10k yen to now about 300k yen. The incident was that she got annoyed off of the guy she was dating ( a comedian) in the show when he ruined her wrestling outfit and knocked away the guy's cap. This seemingly inconsequential and understandable reaction from the wrestler poured in an insane amount of hate her way until finally she had enough and unlike the show Aqua wasn't present.

I forgot how badly translated the dub is..

The author has made statements that contradict this idea that the Kimura Hana incident was the inspiration. Which you may, or may not find convincing. It may be a form of risk hedging to deny correlation since the incident only happened a few years ago (and only a few months after the suicide). In any case, the mother of Kimura Hana has publicly said she found the commercial use of her daughter's tragedy so soon distasteful. Anime fans, of course, having learnt nothing from the episode are now dogpiling on her (you know, the mother to a daughter who committed suicide) to defend their show.

Interesting if that is the case but I still personally believe that the author has taken atleast some inspiration from what happened with Hana unto his work. As a fan of the JP wrestling scene and a reader of the manga, when I first read the chapters when it came out, that chapter was too similar and too recent to the incident that I thought and many others that it was based on what happened to Hana. Especially knowing that the author is always up to date or in tune with current trends and events in his works and how massive that incident was to the entertainment industry in JP. Also WTF is wrong with people dog piling on a grieving mother, it's like they completely miss the warnings and messages of the source material that they are defending.
