BlackHeart279

Great blind reaction from Navi, a good idea for everybody else to get a refresher. I agree with Chris, I need the reaction to the second movie NOW, it is incredible.

Spawn_tiger

I hope yah react to the new ninja turtles movie when it comes out digitally

Surprisingly? I am pretty sure most everyone thought it was going to be good from the trailer alone.

Agreed. Across the Spider-Verse is without question the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. The artwork is *spectacular*. (And the story and writing are great too, of course.)

The reason Miles Morales exists is because of the Donald Glover controversy. It inspired the Spiderman writer at the time to create that character. The directors of these movies have said that the main theme is about the backlash towards the Miles Morales character and the general idea of a black Spiderman.

Ernest Moran

The blonde spiderman in the beginning is voiced by Chris Pine and Peter B. Parker is the one voiced by Nick from New Girl!

Mzuka

"Miles Morales was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli. Bendis's was heavily influenced by Donald Glover's appearance in Spider-Man pajamas in "Anthropology 101", in the second-season of Community. This was a reference to an unsuccessful online campaign that attempted to cast Glover an audition for the lead role in The Amazing Spider-Man. Bendis said of Glover, "He looked fantastic! I saw him in the costume and thought, 'I would like to read that book.' So I was glad I was writing that book."

oh. i thought this was the sequel, these titles just blur together in my mind. didnt like it when i watched it on my own. it was a STRUGGLE. kept falling asleep out of boredom. lets see if the normies can keep me entertained through this watch

he also wanted a book with a hero his kids can relate to (him and his wife have adopted black and brown kids).

Love Donald Glover's bit in Weirdo, his stand up special, when he addressed the whole black Spiderman thing. Loved in No Way Home he appeared and mentioned Miles.

rickie woodson

that suit is giving spider supreme vibes from the greg land series where spiderman became sorcerer supreme for a few issues. i THINK (if im remembering correctly) doc strange put his astral form in his body to give him access to sorcerous knowledge. fun times with black cat and the gang!

rickie woodson

yeah so not for me. great animation but boring story. 2nd one has a better story but same issue: can emotionally bond with any of the characters so outside of them doing cool shit and great animation, this series does nothing for me. its no xmen

rickie woodson

americans for the most part of xenophobes (plus racist) so not hard to get why when there is a new version of something they love they lose their shit. black captain american, afro latino spiderman, black superman, black wonder woman, gay japanese catwoman, etc etc. haters gonna hate. but one man's trash is always another man's treasure so them hating these changes and not buying the comics didnt stop those who were interested in the characters to buy them and at the end of the day all the companies care about is the bottom dollar of sales.

Do you have a dartboard with a bunch of random controversial topics and takes on them, that you hit up before writing these comments? Because wtf.

Rey
>>116680882

People are tired of woke decisions created solely for woke purposes to shove woke ideologies in people’s throats. It lacks any genuine, organic creation. If they really wanted to be inclusive, they’d use characters who are already black, gay, Mexican, Asian, etc.

imperial
>>116641577

Lol agreed. If the Captain Marvel sequel ends up being good, THEN I’d use the word “surprisingly”.

imperial
>>116658994

They know. They figured it all out in the end while the credits rolled (you probably wrote your comment before watching the entire reaction - this is a perfect example why you shouldn’t do that :-) )

Tyler Foster
>>116680882

Bizarre that if you hate woke culture you'd bother watching this channel. You'd think it'd be clear that this is not a community that agrees with you.

One day you might even have an original thought of your own instead of regurgitating left wing influencer talking points from 3 years ago.

Jake Johnson had his name legally changed to Nick from New Girl. Actually, Nicholas deJeunefille.

Meanwhile in "xenophobic" United States, manga sales have been destroying comic book sales.

Jake King

Across the spiderverse will be awesome

REY

What was the point in this upload lol

HIM

Yeaaaaaa! I got my spider Gwen socks on, ready to rewitness Greatness... Spidey needs his own skits after yall finish these 2 😁

they actually figured it out during the reaction like 12 seconds after rana said the wrong thing. When peter b parker first came on screen the boys said "so thats nick from new girl not the first one." and navi and rana acknowledged. So I guess they wrote the comment immediately after hearing rana say the wrong thing and didnt even wait a few seconds lol.

Idk.. when channels do this it’s kind of disingenuous lol it defeats the point of a reaction channel if you already saw it.

Sickleweed
>>116741861

Navi hadn't watched it yet and the others wanted to watch it again. Sometimes you pick up new things when you rewatch a something. Personally I think it's only disingenuous when they pretend they never watched it; I appreciate their honesty before going into the reaction.

mr Trent
>>116741861

It’s not disingenuous in my opinion I search up reactions of ppl reacting to shows and movies I already watched to see how they reacted and there opinions on the show, movies and the cool parts that happen in them that make you go wow and makes me want to know how other ppl or reaction channels reacted
