Gotta go Bojack. Chernobyl is short, but I don't know what it can add for the channel regarding mental health. I am picking Bojack for the sake of it having more substance that fits the channel and will likely cause meaningful commentary for Tom. Bojack might be animated but it uses the medium to get across points real world acting cannot. Still, if Chernobyl wins it is short and we'll be polling again soon.

I get that a lot of media does have mental health. However Bojack is built upon it, the show is focused on characters mentalities, their traumas, their coping mechanisms, the show was built with the intention of working with dysfunctional characters and exploring their flaws. Bojack Horseman is the show that shows you the ups and downs of certain personalities and how toxic it can become when being around them. The focus is not Bojack's career, it is how he interacts with the people in his line of work, along with several other cast members who have their own issues that get explored equally. Chernobyl sounds like characters will be dealing with the intensity of the Chernobyl disaster, what built to it and what happened after (This is a guess, I haven't seen the show). I just think it will have a stronger resonance with Tom and ultimately give him more to talk about. I also highly recommend "The Battle of Chernobyl" as a documentary, it gives a lot of good details about the event.

Y'all got your long zombie show just give us our medium-sized horse show! I don't understand. If you don't like any options then why vote at all? When you're only voting against something and not for anything, you're only voting against a show people actually like when you have no stake in the game whatsoever. The aversion to animation genuinely makes no sense when BoJack is 1,000,000x more relevant and entertaining than a disaster show. If you're obsessed with the idea of having a short show, why do you even watch the channel? If the whole point is to bang through a series as fast as possible, what are you even looking for in a reaction? Like I like The Boys, but that doesn't mean I wanted to see it win but seeing how many people said "Idc who wins, I'm just voting against The Boys" was honestly crappy. Like when you see that other people are passionate about a bunch of shows and you care about none, your only purpose in voting is to poop on someone's parade for no reason at that point.

🤔🤨Hold up! I gotta slide in these comments on behalf of Chernobyl because I dont see enough pleading on our behalf lol. Chernobyl IS short, but well paced & SO GOOD! They explore several themes: the secrecy of govt and almost heroic sacrifice of first responders, bravery, trauma and loss, the line between moral responsibility and negligence, fear and corruption! The cast has some familiar faces and I think the cast does the best job at keeping the audience engaged. I havent even heard of Bojack until this poll lol so now I feel like I need to go visit a trailer or two because they way yall are going to bat for Bojack is 🤯

Based on how many people have been stating they want Bojack, I have to imagine some people are voting Chernobyl since it will be short and they can get a different show they want in the polls. Some were stating they disliked the options from the start. I understand a majority of people on patreon do not interact with the community and are here for Tom's reactions, I only assume a small amount are doing it for different options. I definitely find the argument of it being "an animated horse show" to be pathetic in all honesty. If you watch it and say "This isn't for me", that's fine, you can even call it trash if you want, but knowing nothing about its content and having a negative opinion is sad. It is an incredibly deep show with thought provoking scenes and has more substance than any other show on this channel regarding characters mental health and emotions, and I say this as someone who loves a majority of the shows here.

Bojack is great for what it is... theres just not many cartoons that reach "peak tv" to me - MY OPINION... Chernobyl really is peak, its like a documentary but its also a show... its so good. Bojack is getting even more love here because it is all about mental health. Just different shows really.

People hating on Chornobyl is insane to me. It's one of the highest-rated shows OF ALL TIME for a reason. And it will only take 5 hours to complete. It's a 10/10 series.

I’ve watched the show front to back at least six times now and can safely say that’s its deserving of every award it won and one of the greatest series focusing on mental health, depression, and self-loathing ever. It’s my favorite series oat and it really helped me turn my life around.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the people invalidating your opinion completely, as not everyone is going to like the same things, but I am curious as to how much of the show you’ve seen. The first few episodes definitely take a while to find their legs, but if you’ve gotten into the second season and still feel the way that you do, then I won’t argue with you.

I've seen both Bojack and Chernobyl. I even have an ex boyfriend, now friend and live in partner of 12 years, whose family was in Russia at the time of the explosion at Chernobyl. He was born soon after, in Russia. The whole story hits close to home. I voted for BoJack because even though both shows have depressing topics, BoJack is also cheery because of the colors. But it also has a lot of jokes and fun attention to detail. Chernobyl is no humor at all. It's all depressing all the time, and it'll be a bit of a boring and painful watch, especially with the world right now. I'll likely still watch it if he reacts to it. But it'll feel so slow, just waiting for it to finally be over with every minute of it.

The only place this argument has merit is if we were going to watch 1 show after the other for certain. I appreciate those who have been giving real feedback on Chernobyl vs "it is shorter", which has been a common stance here. Some have advocated that we should watch Bojack after Chernobyl, though I feel it is best to always have a vote. I am trying to think of what has substance that fits the channel when making my decision. Chernobyl might cause some dialogue, but Bojack I feel would cause discussions and be a far more interesting show for Tom to speak on. It's a shame many people are voting Chernobyl because it is short, not providing much reason otherwise.
