If you really listen to what Gabriel says, you'll see he's talking as much about himself as he is the rest of the group. False apostle? Sounds like a good description for a priest who's lost his faith but is still preaching Done unspeakable things, put their lives over the lives of others...yep, he's done that too. He's projecting. Let's just hope he doesn't cause too much damage before he gets his head on straight.

Really Eugene top 3 I never thought I’d hear someone say that. May I ask who the other 2 are? This is why I absolutely love coming on here to watch a show with so many other people like this because we all have our favorites and different point of views. It’s just nice knowing you’re not watching something all alone.

SPOILERS (Sort Of) I think for me Daryl is 3rd, Eugene is 2nd & Morgan is 1st. I think Eugene just sort of has it all. Firstly with Josh McDermitt being a great actor, I think Eugene has very realistic flaws, I like how much he is easy to relate to and hard to relate to at the same time, I like how he’s important to the plot without being one of the main powerhouses like Rick, Michonne or Daryl. I think he’s very funny, I think he has some sad heartfelt moments and also a lot of genuinely cool moments. I also feel that he’s a character with multiple arcs to go through that doesn’t retread the same ground again and again which isn’t even something I can say for my other favourite characters.

he prob never thought he'd find a settlement where he can fit in and live somewhat "normally" again, around loads of of new people who don't know anything about him other than he is a priest. rick's group knows his dark secret of what he did. so he wants to run from it and hide from it and like pretend it never happened because thats easier to him than facing it. and as long as rick and the group are at alexandria, they're a walking constant reminder of what he did because he knows they know. i think he is appreciative and thankful for the group but it's just his fear of having to face his secret/desire to make it disappear is so much more. regardless he a mug for this

He's thinking only of himself yet again, the group is a permanent reminder of all the horrific things he did before he met them now, so if they are gone he can go back to pretending to be the perfect priest with ease 😒 at least that's my theory anyway

I remember well, how mad I was about Gabriel turning on the group that took him in. Everything he said..it’s like he was projecting. I don’t know what he was thinking. If he really believed what he was saying? Or did he think that they (the group) would turn on him? Throw him out? Or was his brain just scrambled after that long and hard trip to DC that tested his faith?

Carol is doing everything in her power to maintain a distance between her and any children she can potentially get attached to. I also think she may have a bit of slight "jealousy" that Sam, who is as innocent as Sophia, got a chance to live a normal life behind walls and inside a house. Although I don't feel like jealousy is the right word. Her behavior is absolutely a defense mechanism and her trying to test out her "tough love" approach since she firmly believes that being "soft" is what got Sophia, Lizzie and Mika killed. She kinda views that boy as dead already and doesn't want to experience the pain again.

I still stand on the fact that Noah should’ve been around for like 3 seasons or even the rest of the show! I really enjoyed his character and seeing him go out like that was so disheartening and disappointing.

What's crazy is I think everyone would have made it out okay if Tyrese let Noah check his house himself, I don't think Noah would have stopped and lost is attention until after he saw his brother as a walker unlike Tyrese

Tyrese got himself killed. I hate that people blame Noah for this when that his fault, even inadvertly. Tyrese didn't fully check the house and got distracted. It just happened...

I argue that Noah (understandably) running off and not waiting for the whole group to clear areas played a hand in it. But my intention was not to place the blame solely on Noah, or claim that it's 100% his fault Tyreese died. He is however the whole reason they're there in the first place, AND the whole reason why they were alone in his home in the first place was because Noah ran off. I honestly think the whole group should've stuck together and followed after Noah as a collective, that played a part in Tyreese's death too. Tyreese not paying attention and remaining vigilant was the biggest reason why he died, I agree. My overall (albeit implied and not explicitly stated) point though was this: the only useful contribution to the show Noah brings is leading the group to Virginia in the first place so they could eventually cross paths with Aaron. Other than that what he brings to the show are two character deaths. Not saying Beth's death is his fault btw, just that he was connected/involved like with Tyreese's death.

this argument is a little silly imo, the only real blame you can push onto noah is that he ran off by himself, but the dude had just realized his whole family was dead and wanted to see them, people have made way worse decisions on this show, he deserved some slack. as to them being there in the first place, that was ultimately THEIR choice, something they did to honor beth, they were well aware that it likely wasn’t going to standing anymore, it wasn’t for noah, it was for beth. the reason tyrese died was because HE got distracted not because a + b = c which turned into e because of d.

exactly!!! i was upset that noah was killed off at first for the same reason MLG is stating, id felt like it made beth’s death pointless. but it also helped the dread sink into me, the feeling you could start a new life one day just to die the next.
