Harrison has that full-on teenage angst going on. Dexter’s dealt with kids before, and I guess we saw the beginning of that with Astor when she hit her teen years..but a teenage boy who already feels snubbed and abandoned by his dad.... 😂

Dexter feels guilty because of Debs death. I think thats why Deb tortures his mind. He thinks he deserve it

Was just about to say this too. Dexter 100% believes this is what Deb would say to him in his mind

Yes, that girl at the bar is the one in the trapped room. Remember she was looking for a place to sleep and didn’t have enough money for a burger, and Angela offered her the shelter but the girl said she was good. So the assumption you can make is that mysterious creepy guy watching her offered her a place to stay which seemed a lot nicer than a shelter (bottle of wine she was drinking at the beginning in a room and all) and she naively took it.

The characters of Deb and Harry can also be viewed from another perspective: they are not projections of what Dexter imagines they would think of him, but rather representations of what Dexter himself is thinking and focusing on at any given moment. In other words, they are meant to embody Dexter's thoughts.

I think we get Angry Deb from the guilt Dexter feels about his role in her getting shot. I've always wondered if it added to Dexter's guilt that she didn't get a proper burial because he drove his boat into a hurricane. And I think he went the almost 10 years without killing someone as a way to try and make it up to Deb.

Omg is he really going to leave the body there?? I mean, clever quick fix but long term 🥴 he'd start to smell once the snow starts thawing 🥲

Noticeable absence of dogs in this community 😒😂

Since I'm rewatching this with you and this is as I recall only my second watch, I first watched this when it came out so it's been awhile. I think they made Deb aggressive and angry toward Dexter because it's really Dexter's subconscious and he's angry at himself inside. And lets face it, Deb's death in the original show was in large part Dexter's fault.
