I have mixed feelings about this season but if there’s one thing it got right, it was this episode. It was so well done. I do hate how they handled Dae-ho’s character though. They just turned him into a plot device for Gi-hun to kill. Also Rip 120. My favorite character from season 2😭

A kinda fun fact is during Dae-Ho’s scene (the one who didn’t bring the magazines back) had some mistranslations in the scene where he admitted to lying about being in the marines. The actual translation from my memory is- “I was a social service personnel, I’ve never even properly shot a gun.” It’s a huge mischaracterization the translation did him because if I recall, that is reserved for military personal who are deemed mentally or physically unstable for duty in South Korea. Explains a lot about his reactions during the gunfight last season and his overall personality

Wow that changes the context completely, I can’t believe they allowed this. I always thought it was weird how he has the tattoo and everything, despite never being in the military at all. Turns out, he was just unfit for combat. Come on Netflix translators!
