My favorite moment of the episode is in the beginning where they're talking to Jesus at the dining room tavke, there a little moment where they show Carl glances over at Michonne next to him with the tiniest smile on his face, and Michonne, sensing Carl looking at her, turns away from him looking the lost uncomfortable we've ever seen her 😆😭... I do love that moment where Rick talks to Carl about Michonne. It wasn't just a father looking for his son's approval, but also a man looking for his lady's best friend's approval 😆😭. The way Carl was staring at him straight face while Rick was trying to explain 😐 lol. He doesn't play about his Michonne. Rick knows Carl don't play about his Michonne, and after that whole Jessie fiscal, Rick knew he needed to clarify and come correct lol. "This is different". He didn't get that stamp of approval until he said that. I get the feeling that if Rick wasn't being serious about Michonne, he would have been side-eying tf outta his daddy 🤨😒...

I love that you caught that Jesus clocked Rick holding Michonne'a hand and how he sees everything. I think he also clocked that this relationship is very new. When Daryl & the rest barged into the house after Jesus, you see Abraham & Glenn see shirtless Rick & Michonne upstairs together like 😳🤯. They cut to Jesus who's looking at them. So when he sees Rick grabbing Michonne's hand, both of them blushing little middle schoolers holding hands in the hallway 🤭, Jesus is just over there like 🧐. Which bring me to this point about what Jesus concludes from the brief interactions and information he's collected about the two of them in a very short time. When they're outside of the building where Jesus' friends are, Rick tells Jesus thst they're going to go in rescue his friends, while he stayed outside. What does Jesus do? He immediately turns behind him and looks at Michonne, as if to say, "Is that y'all final answer?", but in a pleading for help. Hell, that's probably why you see him chatting Michonne up in Alexandria when Rick & Carl were talking outside. Jesus figured out knew that if he. Now, granted it backfired because she agreed with Rick, but that doesn't mean his assessment of their relationship lol... She's the anchor that keeps Rick's helium balloon from erractically flying all over the place like someone just untie the knot and let. I mean we saw what happened towards the end of season 5 with the whole Jessie/Pete situation. For like 3 episodes, you don't even see them interact from when to when she knocked him out, and in that time ypu see hi spiral. He pretty much admitted it"I was afraid you'd talk me out of it. You could have". He basically told her the power she has over him. I actually think Aaron clocked that, too, back in 5x11(oh, wow. Exactly one season prior). Right from the beginning in the barn, Michonne was the one that not only openly challenged Rick, and eventually overrode his authority by telling the group they were going to Alexandria, but Rick completely folded and agreed, even though he very clearly didn't want to. I'm sure that's a moment Aaron told Deanna about it, so I've always kinda theorized that that was part of the reason Deanna placed Michonne as constable alongside with Rick. I've always said, if you want to get Rick on your side, or get him to change his mind, the person you need to convic need to get Michonne on your side lol... Hell, I think Abraham found out the hard way back in 7x10 Michonne stepped in and told him that they needed to rest and catch their breath and get supplies before they go anywhere, and Rick immediately agreed. Then the rest of the crew basically saying that they were doing whatever Rick says(when little did everyone realize that Rick is lowkey going to do whatever Michonne want). Michonne's been having Rick whipped and complying since at least 4x11(Damn are are the 11th episode of the seasons significant moments for Richonne(or moreso Rick whipped over Michonne). After the fall of the prison and Rick wanted to go scavenging with Michonne and Carl, but Michonne told him that he was just unconscious the day before and he needed to rest. And just as he was going to be a little stubborn about it, he folds and stay behind without much fight 😄😭. Michonne had that man wrapped around her finger for seasons and I don't even think she knew it lol... I should make a list of Whipped Rick Richonne moments 😄...
