We've seen signs that the killing is weighing on her way back when she tells Tyrese that she'll get him to Terminus but wouldn't stay. She was visibly upset after the fight with the Wolves. She's never had time to really process, but now that they've had some safety and quiet, it's all started to weigh on her, which is why she's started counting how many people she's killed, all the way back to Karen and David at the prison

Tom, back to Morgan when he really saw through her. Carol has layers she has the innocent wolf in sheep's clothing that we all see, but Morgan really sees her for who she is. Somone that does not want to kill unless she has to but even then. Carol saw Maggie and the baby in trouble, so she took action. She was pulling a Morgan by telling the other woman to flee. Morgan understands that killing people has a toll on your soul and has its fair share of consequences. Carol is beginning to feel it. Yes, this world is what it is, but we can't be making excuses to execute people at some point it has to be addressed when it is enough.

Carol was playing a part of innocents, religious and weak….. that enabled her to gain advantage with them and they underestimated her so gave her a chance that she exposed …. She also doesn’t want to just keep killing people it’s fucking with her head …. She’s doesn’t want to be a monster. Simultaneously to Carol showing weakness she also is becoming weaker because she doesn’t want to just keep killing people it’s breaking her! It’s a beautiful part of her character!

I think Carol grew from scared battered wife into fierce survivor, but then when she had to kill Lizzy it broke her. Carol does not want to kill any more. But when the people she loves are put in jeopardy she falls into this mode of what ever it takes, no matter what it is, she's going to protect the ones she loves.

It's kind of sad to realise through this episode that most health conditions but especially common and fatal ones like cancer would all go untreated, the world plunged instantly back to some pre-medieval era for medicine.

Remember, Darrell is with Rick and when that happens, the group tracks people down. Even during prison time without Michonne, they still would have tracked down Glenn and Maggie. Darrell is an outstanding tracker.. if I had to pick between Darrell or Shane, I would pick Darrell every time.

maggie is so fierce! i agree that she shouldn't have been there but she can hold her own. she's proved it time and time again. i know carol is struggling with the killing, i get it. but her ability to fake it and pretend is so useful. she doesn't have to like it. like eastman said we're not built to kill, but sometimes you don't have another choice.

I wonder that too. I think Tobin saying she could be so fierce because she's a mom really s not her spiraling specifically because she promised to care for Mika and Lizzy and then what happened with them.

I think its when Paula or one of them said were not the bad guys.. the women in there have been through shit and are no different to maggie and carol. They been through and lost stuff (children) and were normal people too.. i think carol realizes they are just reflections of themselves. Carol knows they are no longer the good people killing bad people.,. the world is just people murdering for resources.. I think thats got to take a toll on the human in built moral compass, even in a time like this.. religion ironically is what stopped mankind from living this way in the past, before religion humans were savages killing for resources. I wonder if thats why they added the religious references

All the killing has gotten to Carol. It’s become too much and too difficult because she is not a killer. She only wanted to protect. And this time they attacked first. It was different. And I think the things Morgan has been telling her weighs heavily on her. It’s getting to be too much for her to handle.
