That last conversation between Abraham & Eugene is really sad because we strongly believed when first seeing it that Eugene was about to die. That last conversation between them is still very sad because Abraham ended up dying. Abraham & Glenn were very hopeful and they both envisioned a long future with Maggie & Sasha respectively, I think the writers definitely knew what they were doing by choosing those two to be the ones to go. And Daryl….i said when Denise died that she was the fourth in a list of names that Daryl blamed himself for their deaths. Now we can add Glenn’s name to that list.

I think for me it was easier when I had waited for months between seasons. I had had time to distance myself from the characters. I had also been spoiled on who got killed as it was aired later in my country. I just couldn’t not stay away from spoilers. It was still a brutal watch but I was prepared for the loss.

Negan is a sadistic c%$@ s%!@er. I love the actor who plays him, He seems like a great guy but negan can go suck himself. We're supposed to roll out the red carpet for him because he's not a rapist and looks out for kid? Thats the bare minimum as a human being. He gets soo much worse as the series goes on and shows us and he isnt all that layered. Anyone who likes Negan or thinks he's cool is lame.

Seasons 7-8 were an absolute drag for me. Not even because of what happened in this episode, but the quality of the writing becomes pretty poor. Season 9 gets things back on track, but considering your run of the “classic” “og” era of TWD over. Show never recovered in live viewership after this time.

I was dreading this episode for Tom. Couldn’t wait for the savior arc to be done. What helped me deal was seeing some candid photos from the show that had Glen and Abraham drinking Starbucks and smiling, in their special effects makeup. They were from Steven Yuen’s instagram ❤️

Negan is aaallll about the psychological warfare, interesting how he so ruthlessly beat 2 people to death but did not force Rick to actually chop off Carl's arm... proves it's more than simple sadism going on here

He even kinda manipulated the audience too. Many people are quick to justify his actions by pinning the blame on Daryl, but that's absolutely simplifying and reducing things to "he should have followed the rules" which is insane😭🤣

This is where I stopped watching. Killing off a favorite character kills the show. Also, the fact we had to wait 6 months to find out who was gone is more than a regular cliffhanger. The whole thing felt like a F you to the fans, and I was like F you too and stopped watching! 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes had he not reacted the way he did Glenn would have been saved. But do you blame Daryl for his reaction? I know many did at the time. I just don’t think Daryl could take the taunting Negan did and it got to him. Negan wanted to provoke a reaction, from anyone, and he got what he wanted.

You are correct about Negan just being a regular guy that fell into power and thats the main difference between Negan and The Governor. The Governor is just pure evil and a psychopath where as Negans more so being the leader the Saviors need him to be.

Why are the videos always low bit-rate when it's a live recording? It's not an issue with the stream cause the camera video looks fine, it's just the show screen and only happens when it's a recording of a live.

Oh tom, this is the big one I think everyone was (kinda) dreading for you to see :( Glenn’s death hurt so bad, my bestie and I cried so much that whole episode. It was so hard to move on. 6 months later we got to go to comic con and met Steven Yeun (Glenn) & we both cried again cause we were the biggest fangirls at the time lol. He was sooo nice, he hugged us tightly and said “guys it’s ok I’m still alive!”. He was so great ! Season 7/8, I think, are best being able to binge it like you can! Back in the day it was really hard to move on and follow the savior arc. I think millions of people were just devastated that 7/8 got a little too much hate. But it’s worth it to the end! I would totally understand if you took a break, this is TWD’s “red wedding” episode lol. Much love Tom!

wow, that had to be the saddest episode in tv show ever, amazing production, gave me goosebumps the entire time. Glen was my favorite character, and I loved Abraham's lines in the show, always a comedic relief him and Eugene. I've never seen this show before and I'm watching it along with you, and these episodes broke my heart.

I gotta ask, why would anyone want to watch this for fun/entertainment? This just makes you feel horrible. Every show has ups and downs, but this one only has downs and it's mentally torturing its viewers. I feel like we all need a therapy session with Tom after watching these episodes.

Wym? This show absolutely has ups, there are beautiful scenes and moments with characters in many episodes. There are more downs than ups for sure, but that doesn't erase the good moments. That being said, the show is completely downhill from here imo.

1) Negan would have done this to Rick's group regardless, because their policy is beating someone to death whenever they meet knew people so that they "learn right off the bat" 2) Negan's biker gang attacked Rick's group first (Abraham, Sasha, and Daryl) 3) They made a deal with the Hiltop to eliminate these savior terrorists in order to trade food to try and feed an entire community of people that desperately needs it.

Yeah, idk. It's a show so people can feel whatever they want, but defending Negan in any capacity for this is just deplorable. It's like you said, once these fictional "rules" are set in place, people just start clinging to them. They seem to forget that Negan would have done this to Rick's group regardless of any attack. He did it to a 16 year old kid, unprovoked, from the Hilltop just to assert their message. You can give Negan any sad backstory you want, absolutely nothing justifies shit like that. And he's completely lucid and giddy while doing it.

A deluded form of righteousness allows people to commit all kinds of atrocities. If you can convince someone they're doing something in the name of a greater good, and make them truly believe it, you can make them do horrible things all while being completely sane and lucid. Better yet, if you can convince yourself of such a delusion, such as Negan has, then you become the supreme being of your own universe where you can do no wrong, and truly believe that.

Its an issue with your browser if its all black. Just switch to a different browser log into patreon and it should work fine. I use firefox but the live is all black on firefox so i watch them on chrome. Hope this helped

I had seen that scene and knew Glenn died long before I actualy watched the show, and I still bursted into tears when I got to this episode. I think that speaks to how loved Glenn was as a character. I knew it was coming and it still made me ugly cry when he died. RIP Glenn. He was the heart of the show.

Also Negan's actor is the voice of Conquest and Glenn's is the voice of Invincible. So in a way Glenn got his get back.

This is the clearing where Glenn and Abraham met their end. And the spot where it happened. Back in 2018, they did a one time studio tour that I was lucky enough to take part in. They drove you around to different places you can’t get to without studio access. They were on the studio property. They drove us to hilltop, negan’s compound and a couple other spots you haven’t seen yet on the show.
