Glad you understood the meaning behind this song. I knew you would, i used this song for that exact reason. My life became to toxic. I surrounded myself with the wrong people. And when i finallu made the decision to change, i knew that i had to set fire to the past id been trying to keep alive. Like being handcuffed to a corpse. Walking through life at a fraction of your standard speed. I lit the corpse ablaze and watched as my downward weight lifted. The sack of rocks id been dragging with me fell off. The 500 black balloons i carried dropped to 5. I could actually feel my body straighted up. It was a hard thing todo but im alive because i made the decision. To leave it all behind me and put one foot in front of the other and try to live again.

The way they stood there welcoming him is pretty much how the metal community is. Everyone is welcome. You’re at a show? You’re apart of the family. Also a lot of people like this music because those singers scream for us. That mosh pit is one of the only places you can punch someone or push someone and they’ll be glad you did
