Wall Street - Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park (Patreon)
Content
I'm shooting almost straight up. The Milky Way feature above us is the Cygnus region with its many nebulae, such as the North American Nebula; and, to the right is the Andromeda Galaxy.
I was near the bottom of this narrow canyon with its steep trail of switchbacks the night before last, leading a free workshop (as part of the Nightscaper Photo Conference, here in Kanab, Utah).
TECHNIQUE & EXIF: This photo is a 15 sec single exposure taken at f/2.8 with a 15mm Irix on a Canon 6D. I've used 2 Lume Cube Mini LED panel lights, set at only 1% power, 5600ºK. They are bouncing off the walls behind us — explained on page 150-152 of my new ebook as the "Reflection Projection" technique. This photo is almost straight out of the camera (a camera JPEG) with very little post-processing in Lightroom, as I haven't had time yet to process the Camera Raw image—I'm leading another free workshop tonight!
P.S. I've had the wonderful opportunity of meeting many of you here at the conference. Thanks so much for your support. It's been fun to meet so many of you in person!
