This is the fourth installment on the theme of how to add detail to your nightscape foregrounds.

You've returned home with a beautiful nightscape from a dark sky area. The Milky Way was reflecting in a perfectly still alpine wilderness lake! However, when you went to post process the image, you realized the lake and the meadow around it were darker than what you thought you saw on the LCD playback monitor. When you post-processed the image for the sky (adding contrast to bring out the latent colors), the foreground went even darker — so you processed the sky and the foreground separately.

In this update to my new Version 2.0 eBook, I show how post processing specifically for the foreground can increase foreground detail in your Milky Way nightscapes — albeit this is not always the preferred method (more on those other methods in my next segment).

PDF: Be sure to download (below) and view my latest Version 2.0 eBook update about foreground post processing to enhance your nightscapes (a more extensive post processing section comes near the end of the eBook updates).

NOTE: My patrons can expect to see many more posts over the next few months, as I continue to "serialize" updates to my original, version 1.1 "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook. These advance updates will become available exclusively to my patrons, page-by-page, until my new version 2.0 eBook is completed and published sometime in mid to late 2023.
