Today's Version 2.0 eBook update is by Guest Artist, Marybeth Kiczenski. Not only will Marybeth tell you how to focus stack your nightscape foregrounds for greater depth of focus, but her tutorial will also teach you two different ways to select your night skies in order to make a mask for blending your foreground and sky exposures.
The above image by Marybeth, was taken of a G3 Geomagnetic Storm, near Wisconsin's Apostle Islands. Note the closeup detail in the foreground. The sky was a 4-second exposure at f/2.2, ISO 2000. The foreground required several (focus stacked) 3-minute exposures at f/5, ISO 4000.

NOTE: My patrons can expect to see many more posts over the next few months, as I continue to "serialize" updates to my original, version 1.1 "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook. These advance updates will become available exclusively to my patrons, page-by-page, until my new version 2.0 eBook is completed and published sometime in late 2023.
