Sadeq Hayati is our Guest Artist for this eBook Update, and is the photographer for the above image, which was taken with a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone camera.
When I began my promotional tour for the first edition of my "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook in early 2015, the most common question television hosts would ask me was, “Can I do this with my iPhone?” And the answer I had to give them was, “No way!”
That has changed. There are now high-end smartphones that can take pretty amazing photographs of Milky Way nightscapes, albeit they are still not as good as a those taken with a larger sensor DSLR or mirrorless camera.
PDF: Be sure to download (below) and view my latest Version 2.0 eBook update about smartphones for nightscape, including a link to my blog article on 15 of the best smartphones for night photography.
NOTE: My patrons can expect to see many more posts over the next few months, as I continue to "serialize" updates to my original, version 1.1 "Milky Way NightScapes" eBook. These advance updates will become available exclusively to my patrons, page-by-page, until my new version 2.0 eBook is completed and published sometime in late 2023.
