I just feel like the Harris campaign was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever seen a major party put out. First you put up a senile potus for reelection klling any chance of a primary and making sure your base has absolutely no voice. Then Harris started her campaign on a plataform of going more and more to the center and right. Then by the end of it this shit felt like a fever dream LIZ FUCKING CHENEY IS YOUR BIG CAMPAIGN BOOST? Like, even the republicans hogs hate the fucking war criminal Cheney family and Kamala is here campaign with Liz and alienating a huge chunk of the democratic base saying they don’t matter. Will the DNC learn anything from it? They will learn only the wrong things cause at the end of the day no party loves losing and asking for money more than them. I just thank God every day for not being born in the US cause as a leftist dude this country feels like the fucking hell on earth lmao.

While I agree with you that her campaign could have been run better, there was no way she was going to win, either way. Republicans and media successfully convinced everyone that inflation is still going nuts (we got it slowed back down, different from price gouging), transwomen are destroying ciswomen’s sports, and that immigrants are everywhere and terkin’ er’ jerbs and rapin’ and murderin’ our wives and children. They tacked that onto the incumbent, and people viewed her as the incumbent, which is retarded. “You say you’ll do this, but why haven’t you done it already, HMM??” Is retarded. VP is not the president. We saw all the negatives about Trump and knew all about his plans and said, “Yeah, I want that shit.” Yes, we really are that bad, yes, we really are that stupid and media illiterate. I hope I’m still able to vote in 4 years, but the pessimist in me is leaning towards “we are living through world history”.

Dude I tend to agree with you, from the moment her campaign became oficial it was probably already too late, the fact that de ran a terrible campaign gave Trump his biggest win so far even given him the fucking popular voto. Republicans are way better in getting their insane message to the masses but I do think beating a washed up Donald Trump would be impossible if Biden wasn’t a piece of shit and the DNC actually had primaries. The way they did things alienated the base. I do also hope you are still being able to vote and have your voice heard in 4 years brother :/

Yeah, I have so many thoughts about all of it, but for me it comes down to both of the parties being controlled by big money and refusing to meaningfully address the material conditions of the average citizen. It’s all economic, it’s all about class. Up until now, I’ve been pragmatic about voting for harm reduction, that even if I can’t get everything I want, getting anything at all is a win. But it apparently wasn’t enough for most people, so now we will see if minds are changed now that we are diving headfirst into an accelerationist world. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Thing is while both parties are 100% controlled by their elits (damn, the DNC is still controlled by the same elits that controlled the party back in the 90s while Clinton was potus) the GOP is always fucking scared of their own base and always bend to them while the DNC despise their base. I might be wrong in your vision but I think “harm reduction” is a terrible way to run a campaign. Obama in 2008 was the last organic dem presidential campaign and he had so many progressive promisses (even thought he gave up on most of them pretty quickly after he became potus). Since then every time the dems try this centrist strategy of appealing to republicans they get fucked (both Hillary and Kamala). God, even Biden had more populist promisses then Kamala, I do think they have a lot to learn here but will probably learn all the wrong lessons.

Chris’s idea that the proximity to major events and the weather outside the seasons and the time of year, resulting in consistent personality patterns probably has a lot more salt than you guys actually realize because brain developments during the first few months of life can affect your personality for the rest of your life, (especially prenatal development) While I don’t think Chris was aware of this at all, doesn’t change the fact that it’s a brilliant realization.
