Locusts are scarier but there from the planet. I dont entirely remember the Gears lore but i dont think they intended to kill the planet. The covenant can. So locust invasion for me

Sween, a Locust would throw a grunt like a bale of hay, also imagine if a leviathan from gears 2 got into our oceans, no naval ship would stand a chance. Also the locust take prisoners, the covenant don’t. I’d really not like to end up like Dom’s wife and Thai. Would you? Also loved the discussion actually, this made my day.

My take on this is that the alien covenant doesn’t have impressional weaponry that would make the battle harder. Meanwhile the locusts have a torque bow and a digger that shoots out and goes underground, pops up and detonates.

Man the most angry I've made a teacher followed me through the rest of highschool... My teacher was going off and told the class to "close yours mouths" and turned back to the board. I, against my better judgment, took that moment to say "close your legs" and unfortunately the class had actually gotten quiet when she said that so she heard me loud and clear.
