Thank you so much Cat! It is so hard to talk about these things, I get really worked up too! I've found making the videos helpful for myself too because it gives me time and space to step away from the bickering and just figure it all out on my own and lay it all out.

Oh my GAWD. This VIDEO. I had to pause it after the intro, throw my head back, and laugh for a FULL minute (almost as long as the intro itself). It's not even that that was a minute-laugh kind of a joke! It was the sheer fucking CATHARSIS of seeing this shit parodied. Layers of parody, because not only is it clearly a reference to (especially) that comment about assassination, but also, it's exactly, exactly, what every conversation I've ever had about bi+ oppression (with someone who doesn't already recognize it) is like. Oh, GOD. Well. That and the fact that it's Bi+ Health Month, and I'm chin-deep in research about exactly how horrifying everything is for us, and just anticipating how hard people are going to react with that same "we'll treat you like crap if you say it" attitude. (But for the first time, I'm kind of eager to hear it. Because it would be impossible for anybody to say that, in response to this amount of detail, without looking like a total bigot.)

But I did have to stop watching it entirely almost immediately after that, after the joke about online call-outs, because that made me laugh so hard that I realized I was never gonna be able to work while I watched this.
