It's tiiiime!

Edit: We have so much more to say about Barbie, so we might do a Patreon livestream to talk about it? Or write something about it? This was a short video because we were trying to keep the narrative focused, but we learned so much we want to share!

Also you may have noticed I'm not wearing the pink outfit I posted the other day and that's because when we set up to film we realised that it just didn't work in that format, it looked like drag or something, so we ditched it at literally the last minute and found something else! A tragedy really, but we still have it and maybe it'll get used for another video one day!

I'd love to hear more about Barbie! I really like the movie despite agreeing with the fact it's a big ad in the end and Mattel is only pretending on a very surface level to be self-aware. But I really appreciated the performances and the wonderful artistry in the production and fashion design of the movie (also, it was really funny).

Ghosts And You Might Die

Looking forward to the Patreon pre-sale access to Verity Ritchie's brand new Queer 'Em Serum. "98% of clinical testers agreed 'Doesn't make my skin look any different at all. Makes a pretty decent lube, though.'"

I want to watch this but I'm not seeing the film until Monday. Would you recommend watching your vid before or after watching the film?

Verity Ritchie

Maybe watch it after if you want to just have a good time and not over think it? If you watch the video first it will definitely change how you see the film. But it really depends on how you want to experience seeing the film

Verity Ritchie

Or you could watch up to the intro, just up to the title card, and then decide if you wanna watch the rest after Monday

I really wish this video touched on the lack of disability representation from mattel and the movie itself.

Hi! I sort of went all the way d own to this video to enquire because (a) it was the first video that got me into this wonderful channel, and (b) becase it's slightly relevant to my question which IS: Have you seen Poor Things? If so, what did you think? In my eyes it suffers from much the same issues as Barbie and perhaps ten-fold (though less capitalism, more fuckin yiiiikes). Would be interested to know!

Verity Ritchie

We haven't had the chance to see Poor Things yet, we've been too busy, but we will get there!
