Thanks for the update! Will Kazza complete a circumnavigation on the way to the haul out?

Ashley Simms

These updates are the best! Have a wonderful day!

Myra Slepoy

Thanks for the update, so excited for you!!!

Ryan Flack

Like everyone else. Love seeing the updates and seeing what you guys are up to. So much inspiration for us!!

Mattias Persson

Unbelievable place you’re at! So beautiful 😍 is the plans for three months in Sweden at hold now with your boatbuilding? Keep up your good work.

Bonne Mike

It is definitely Wednesday here in Mary (merry) land USA ........ but time has no constant when it comes to videos. You guys as so at ease there (pump broke? Who cares). Great to feel the Good Vibrations from a beautiful spot there! Keep 'em flyin

Michael Williams

So $97k AUD is about $64.3 US for 9 tons. $7.15k US per ton. With the US market at $2.25k per ton, the cost is materials, handling, fabrication and transportation? And it turns out Australia's Rio Tinto is a major source (7th in the world) of aluminum, so you are in a good location. All not so important facts compared to coolness and excitement in your story!

Nancy D

New Patreon here, but not new to your channel. Been watching for along time! Love you guys and so fricken excited for the new build!!

Hey Michael! Yeah, interesting numbers for sure. It's worth nothing that this is a special series of Aluminum, 5083, meant specifically for marine environments so it might be a tad more expensive than standard Al. And yep that number included the nesting, CNC cutting, and delivery as well. By comparison the quote we got from the Netherlands was 72,000 Euros so about 79,000 USD.

Ahoy Nancy, welcome aboard and thanks so much for your support! We really, really appreciate it as we embark on this new adventure. Sending much love and good vibes! Brian

Ha ha yeah no worries! We just gotta pump manually for each other if we shower inside... Better to shower on deck anyway :)

Bonnie Reeves

So beautiful there! Absolutely love the colors in the water! Now I need to watch that drone footage. Fun to also hear Nugget-speak behind you. :) Looking forward to Delos 2.0, although a bit sad to be leaving the original.

To be sure, you are in the right place at the right time! So you will be working the project, and then doing Summer in Sweden?

Krystal Couture

love the updates! sounds like an exciting season ahead for you all!

Tom Truax

I was the Master Carpenter at the Guthrie Theatre, building special effects, welding (MIG, TIG, steel & aluminum), electronics, hydraulics, etc. I've been a patron since 2018 and I couldn't be happier to see what my donations have helped fund and to see this build. So excited for you three!

Randy Freund

Brian, what ever happened with the Ambergris you found on the beach? I just found something like it on the beach in Cabo, right in front of Dimitry's boat Marbella.

Now that I read more about it, I'm thinking it only comes from Sperm whales which I don't think are in the Sea of Cortez.

Wow Tom, sounds like you had an awesome job there! Yes we are so excited :). It's been many years of dreaming, planning, and of course saving our money to be able to even consider a project like this. Thank you so much for your support and we look forward to sharing the project with you! Brian

Hey Randall, We actually still have it stored in a safe hidden place on Delos as we haven't been anywhere to get it tested yet..... So it's still a big maybe. We found someone in Moorea that seems to know a little about it so perhaps next time we sail back there we can have him look at it. Yes, it's only from Sperm Whales I believe...... I'm not sure if they venture into the SOC or not. Definitely worth checking on though!

New to Patreon, avid supporter on YouTube. Starting the boat buying journey for my own adventures. Also Sunshine Coast local (hour north of Brisbane). Sanctury Cove Boat show is May 23-26. Meetup would be epic I have no idea were to start buying my own boat.

Hey Andrew, awesome! Welcome and thanks so much for the support. Really appreciate that. Yes that's the show- Sanctuary Cove. We should be there in time I think. We'll put up a post about any meetups here on Patreon for sure.

Back in California, left it in my cousins unit who is there another week. Curious if Dimitry would want to look at it and/or possibly hold on to it, split it whatever (if it is, I would hate to see the approx. 5-7 lbs. go to waste?). I gave him my number in case he needed a ride up to Costco, but I never got his, no writing instrument in the kayak. My cousins unit is just a few hundred feet off the beach at Cascadas right in front of Dimitry's boat. Could you DM or reply with his contact info possibly?

Nice! While your here come up to Noosa and explore (we have the only Everglades you can swim in there's no Aligators)

JerryUlmer

Will Delos be sailed to Australia, and lived on during the build? Upon completion how much can Delos be sold for? She is of course a celebrity. JerryU

JerryUlmer

More, contact Leo on Tally Ho about the research he did on his diesel/electric engine. JerryU

Hey Jerry, yes absolutely! Because we're doing much of the work ourselves we can keep Delos until the end of the project. So we will keep her in French Polynesia in a yard in storage for the first phase of the project. Then we'll return to Delos and start sailing her westward at our normal slow pace. At some point we will sail Delos to Australia towards the end of the build, and hopefully raft both boats up to make the move. At least that the current version of the plan! Brian

Rune Bjørnstad

It just occurred to me that Brian must really have found his inner Swede, getting a flat-packed boat that he must build himself. This must be the most advanced IKEA project ever :-D Thankfully, he’ll have a real Swede to help him along ;-)

… and then it occurred to me that my joke may be interpreted as an attempt at belittling your project. If so, I apologize! That was certainly not my intention. I have the greatest admiration for you taking on such a gigantic project and I think the plans look amazing.
