Ahoy Tribe! Sorry for going dark for a bit but it’s been a whirlwind! After a few days of travel we are getting settled in Australia. We celebrated Mothers Day with a feast, Sierra helped me to pick out “rainbow flowers” , we went shopping for socks and pants because it’s fricking cold here (and we didnt have either), Sierra got a new bike (Woo Hoo!!!!), we tried on our new uniforms, and we saw the incredible progress of the build. The serious fun begins on Monday. We’ll keep ya posted. XXOO Brian, Karin, and Sierra

Bob Camp

So, I guess that comments about changing the hull size probably aren't part of the process anymore :) :) :) .... It looks *very* impressive.

Jeanne H. Mathieu

Delos2 sure is a beast 🤪 Sierra‘s visor 🤣🤣🤣 Nothing But happy faces 🥰 And Kazza, you are going to need that breakfast for the upcoming work. The best of Luck for the new chapter. 🕉️🌏☮️💜🕉️🌏☮️💜🕉️🌏☮️💜

Chad Hartley

In the words of Sierra, "WooHoo!"

Tom Caban

What! I was expecting to see stacks of cut aluminum… but you have a fully framed hull already!

Mike TopCat

Love the new overalls, even with your names on them! Oh that new sign cut out aluminum so cool too!

Thomas Lengel

Happy Mothers day Kazza! You guys look great in your new coveralls.

Gary Brazina

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. Welding is an art you will learn quickly.

Dan Moss

That’s awesome and exciting news. Congrats. Happy Mother’s Day Kazza!

Scott C. Wise

The "cold" statement made me realize - Yup, as our northern summer begins the southern winter begins! And southern hemisphere winters are colder since Earth is further away from the Sun in May, June and July. And Kazza, if you keep eating such big meals you could grow into the shape of a beach ball! 8 - O It's also cool to see the hull frame so far advanced. But could it be that if you push one part the right way it all falls to pieces? I hope not. LOL Finally, when I was a kid my dad NEVER put training wheels on our bikes. He taught us mostly in one single day how to ride without them. I wonder if that could be done with Sierra? Hmmmmmm

James Hann

Awesome set of pictures! Love the work coveralls, Stradbroke looks like a first class operation! Congratulations Sierra on the new bike, I’ll bet those training wheels are not on there for long! (Good luck keeping up then Mom and Dad! 😎) Can’t wait to see the progress and watch the build, happy to be a Patreon!

Jerry and Kelly Polack

That's awesome! So excited for you guys! Happy Mother's Day to you Kazza. Can't wait to see the progress as you build your dream boat (I know you're already married to one Karen...lol). And I bet Sierra will be taking those training wheels off ASAP since we already know what a thrill seeker she is!

Nancy D

Happy to see you (& Sierra) doing you! So excited for this part of your journey!! Woo Hoo!!

Peter Larson

Oh my gosh, the boat looks so cool! I

Richard S Florence

Are you planning to do the interior build. If so check out the Shaper Origin great for custom cabinets

Peter K. Noone

Kazza and Nugget have those "it's really nice to be on land for a bit" smiles.

Tom Worrell

With her work/activity level, I don't think Kazza has to worry {:-{} I'm amazed at the progress. Looking forward to the Web Cam and your progress as welders!

Mark Gumprecht

Wow! Looks amazing! Can’t believe Delos 2.0 is that far along. Enough hanging out on tropical islands, swimming, diving and barbecues on the beach. Time to get to work and build that cat! I bet a boat build by Brian and crew won’t have as many problems as most of the new boats people buy. A lot of work, but you will have the rest of your lives to enjoy it!

Janine Van Leeuwen

Awesome stuff!!! Happy Mother’s Day Kazza 🥰 love seeing you all so happy xxx

Capt. Dustin LaBorde

Congrats on getting things started , Sierra looks really happy with that bicycle

Emily

Huzzah! Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. Happy Mothers Day!

Johannes Gross

Welcome to Australia! Delos 2.0 is looking sick! Keep us in the loop if any event for Patreons is happening in Brisbane. Maybe I can make it there. Greetings from Adelaide

Telly

Happy Momma’s Day! That pic of you two standing in the middle of the build is incredible!

Matthew Specht

Wow nice progress already. Ha ha Yeah Brisbane has a quite cool winter for a couple of months especially if you are coming from the tropics. Brisbane has the worst couple of years of wet and very humid weather. Hopefully due for better longer period of more normal seasonal weather. Sucks way worse in Victoria here. Will get better quickly through August and will be glorious through Spring. Good to see Sierra excited and happy.

Sailing SV Delos

Yeah it's been a bit of a shock to us 😂 but we will get used to it, and once we dig into the build we will just be sweating all day anyway and we will be happy for the brisk evenings haha

Sailing SV Delos

Thanks Johannes, and we ABSOLUTELY will make sure and let everyone know as soon as we have some meet ups planned!

Sailing SV Delos

Thanks a lot Janine, so much excitement, energy, and good vibes going around for us right now, so happy to share it with you :)

Sailing SV Delos

Haha exactly it's definitely gonna be a big change for us, but we are so ready for the challenge and can't wait to dive in!

Sailing SV Delos

Ooooo yeah we are all definitely beyond stoked for some of the simple comforts and luxuries of land life, such a treat every now and then!

Sailing SV Delos

Thanks so much James, we're so stoked to have you along for the ride with us! And we are in love with the coveralls too, so steezy!

Ali Todd

Welcome down under Delos family. You need to get some Ugg Boots for the chilly evenings. We’re all happy it’s cooling down but you will be adjusting. It will be excellent working weather. 😊

Matthew Specht

We moved from Townsville back to the Redlands. We forgot where our warm clothes were. The funny thing is for other people in the world, We are complaining about only 10 degrees Celsius in the mornings sometimes 5-8 deg. 🤣Im sure that will amuse Brady in Tahoe.

Matthew Specht

Redlands City Council area is an extremely prominent area for Koalas in the wild. You will often have one in the tree in a shopping centre carpark or wandering up the footpath or across the road at night. You will notice also that any major road is totally fenced with a smooth green metal strip at the top to try and stop koalas particularly but also other wild life climbing over and onto road. Watch for the possums running along the powerlines chasing each other at night. Also Thornlands and Victoria Point where you are has a significant area near the shopping centre there where sugar gliders live(marsupial look a little like a small possum that has web skin between arms and legs. Very cute) They had to leave the trees and make it wider in the middle of the road when they duplicated the road so that they had somewhere to land because they couldn't glide the distance. Make sure you are ready to film and photograph any koalas. I had one walking down the footpath right in front of the house with a baby on its back one night.

THIS IS SO EXCITING ❤️❤️❤️
