Ahoy beautiful friends!

We've been getting so many comments lately from you all about how much you enjoy the boat project videos, so we thought it would be cool to do a super in depth episode all about installing our new watermaker, plus a full run down on how they actually work which I think is pretty cool! Obviously we hopped back a little bit in time for this one, but we wanted to also include our review of the system and it's performance so we waited about a month after installing to finish filming everything for this video.

Meanwhile, we are getting SO CLOSE to French Polynesia!  We expect to make land fall in Fatu Hiva very early on Saturday, maybe around 1 or 2 AM.  The wind has been strong and our daily average has been 7.9 knots and 190 miles per day flying along! Last time Delos crossed the doldrums in the Pacific we motored for 3 days because of no wind. This time we sailed all the way across, soooo incredible!

Morale is SO high onboard, and unbelievably even after so long at sea we still have some fruit and vegetables left. The massive Wahoo that we caught has fed 4 adults for 2 meals a day for 5 days, so 40 meals so far and we’ve barely eaten half of it!

We are well and truly on the final stretch here, and it feels absolutely amazing. Real time update to come very soon once we arrive and get settled in a bit, can't wait to tell you all about this beautiful experience the last few weeks <3

BIG HUGS from all of us!!!!

What an exciting passage! Great video on the water maker. Nuggs was conspicuous by her absence. Looking forward to some videos with the brother united!

Mickey Finn

Really great video.., gotta love the Brian boat yoga. I know I could research this, but when you switch to tanks for fresh water fill, do select a specific tank, if more than one, and do you have a top off shutoff to prevent overfill. As for next week, can wait to see Brian and Brady back together again. Hoping for a Happy Landfall. See you on the next tack !

Anne West

whoa! I can't believe you guys are almost there already, and still online! Can't wait to watch this one later. Land Ho!!!!

Jim Bickerstaff

Nice education on reverse osmosis, thank you for sharing. Your boat yoga is the one thing that will keep me from living that dream, but vicariously will do :)

Anthony Spezza

Another great video. I love learning from your videos keep them coming. thanks

Janet Dupree

Did I miss it, or was there a celebration for crossing the equator? I cannot remember if this was Sierra’s first time? I definetly enjoyed all the previous celebrations! 🍾⛵️🌊👙🥳

Janet Dupree

Thanks. I must have missed it.

Lisa & Claude

That was an awesome episode ❤️❤️❤️

Colleen Balch

Only a few days with Brady and Blue ;(

Mike Farmer

Great educational video on these units , we decommissioned our as we are only away for 3 days max and we still get through a 1000 litres ,probably our recently single mate having long showers , I made him clean the shower pump bilge the dirty bastard . Travel safe team Mike

Sailing SV Delos

We only have one tank on Delos, it’s 1000 liters and in our keel so no switching for us although is quite common on other boats. We do have an overflow from the tank meter that goes right into the bilge to be pumped out. And yes, we have forgotten and left it on and overflowed the tank…. 😂

CATHERINE HACKETT

Very interesting. Love the individual components!

Dan Moss

Sierra was conspicuously missing… her smile always brightens my day and makes me smile. A fantastic episode nonetheless, chock full of information on and so creatively edited!

Michael Ward

Hello my friends…hoping all is well on the Pacific! I really enjoyed this episode Brian! You have a wonderful way of explaining that transcends topics and make it super easy to understand functionality and see how beneficial to Delos it becomes! Fair winds and following seas!

Scott C. Wise

You won't have to filter this comment! Crystal clear enjoyment of this episode. : - )

Loren weber

Ah super rad info! Thanks for making these informative vids as well, It really helps provide a good jumping off point for how to look into things for the various components. cheers!

Sailing SV Delos

Haha yeah she found the watermaker installation a bit boring, and when we filmed this in the boat yard mormor was still with us so she was off swimming in the pool and exploring with her for most of it!

Logan Johnson

still need rumakanji more screw you you tube

Lance Daniels

Thanks for posting and sharing. Very informative and interesting to hear about the whole subject. I think I remember Jeff from older episodes. He still strikes me as such a quality person.

William Flower

This was really interesting... it reminds me of my machining and fabrication days. But oh when you crawled down into tight spaces to wrangle your watermaker system, my old knees screamed! Stay in good shape, young man!

SV Trippin'

Love the new watermaker looks like it's even better than the Desalinator do you feel that way? Cheers!!
