A bit of a sudden timeskip there. Would’ve been better to show the former man adjusting to his new form and develop feelings than for it to suddenly jump from him simply trying to save John to suddenly being his wife and a mother. But I guess that would take too many pages for a holiday one-shot, so it works for what it is.
