Content

In this episode we listen to 1983's "Comedy Classics" featuring Lily Tomlin, Bill Cosby, Rodney Dangerfield, Hudson & Landry, Myron Cohen, Richard Pryor, Abbott & Costello, George Carlin, Redd Foxx, Jonathan Winters, Burns & Allen, and Groucho Marx.

We didn't like this album AT ALL, but after listening to the episode while editing it, I think we are a little too down on it and let it bum us out more than it should have. Hope you like it!

I know I’m a nitpicker but when you guys talk over the record it’s very confusing to listen to. Either cut the record or edit the volume down a bit. The Cosby part made me turn it off, it was like listening to 2 conversations at once

Allen Dulles had JFK killed for kicking him out of the CIA. Read the Devil's Chessboard by David Talbot.

Chris Lind

you can do 2 podcasts, "off the records" and "off the record" for all your conspiracy theory shenanigans.

Vicariousk

I had fun listening to you guys not enjoying it. Good ep!

Johnathan Winters' old lady voice sounds EXACTLY like Matt Cain's old lady voice from the scam baiting calls. Took me a minute to put my finger on it.

Justin Sprague

It was fine guys, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I get excited to see a new OTR in the feed so it was a very meta experience, all-in-all. Plus you referenced one of my all-time favorite bits: Slovin and Allen’s Who’s on First. So that was a nice thing to do…

How many albums does B Money have? I hope this doesn't run out

wub deez

I look forward to these

This was a great ep! How crazy all of the bits could be so bad

Caleb Skelton

I just like hearing yall shit on stuff sometimes

Bill Valerio

Don’t overthink it, guys. This is funny no matter the quality of the record. Would you ever do something more modern, like a Dane Cook album?

wow

As an avid used record collector, this podcast hits a lot of marks for me. Digging as much as I have, it's proven to me that entertainment back then was not as media literate compared to today. Please keep doing the podcast even if the records are trash, it's inevitable. The fact that you also act as an archive is also amazing.

The real conspiracy is the O’Connman feigning shock that George H. W. Bush was in on the Kennedy assassination when he is in Trevor Moore’s “Kitty History” video that is about the topic. Hmmmmm 🧐

This episode was fucking great Next time you do any hokey ass comedy, you should improv what you think it's gonna be like, then rate your impersonation afterwards

Justin Chatroop

Stop being so self critical of the pod. I don't tune in to "off the record" to hear grade A material from decades ago. I like hearing you guys shit all over it or just give your honest opinions. Loving it.
