Content

In this episode of OTR, B-$ and The O'Conman listen to Andrew "Dice" Clay's 1989 album DICE. This is definitely one of the more wild albums we've listened to. Definitely NSFW and not for the faint hearted! You've been warned.

I’ve had Paul’s Boutique on heavy rotation because of this episode! I love Dice, but I love him even more today with his videos on IG Thanks 🐝 and Con Man!

He said "celluliod" instead of "cellulite" and I can't believe you guys didn't jump on that one hahahaha you mentioned it but I was thinking you guys were gonna run with that 🤣

Andrew Dice Clay talked to Tom Scharpling on The Best Show a few years ago. He wasn’t in character. Weird to hear him be self deprecating and critical of his own persona in some ways.

I was surprised that I found this less offensive than Funky and Filthy. When I hear someone be demeaning to women like this I think of their own self hatred - in this case the self hatred of the character - while Funky and Filthy was just this hodgepodge of joking about statutory rape that was not leading me into any sort of a deeper interpretation. That 70s era shock stuff is just incomprehensible to me. The only thing I get from it is "this would be offensive if I said it so I will say it" and then it's just like a word salad of the worst shit you can come up with. This is like, I hate myself therefore I hate broads! But the audience reaction is pretty upsetting. I don't know what the hell their read was on it.

I need to seek out that episode! I lost track of The Best Show a few years back but used to be a huge fan.

Yes, it was a tough listen, but you picked a tough album! And it was amazing! I never would have listened to this on my own and sincerely can't wait to see what you guys choose next.
