Here are the answers to y'all's questions to me from last week 😊 I kinda think Q&A's can tow the line between informative and cringy (like who am I, some kind of influencer lol) but I like for you guys to get to know me more since you're awesome enough to hang out with me here every month 💕 Any other questions you may have at any time don't be afraid to ask!

Of all of your characters, who would you be BFFs with, and who would you date and why?

I’d probably want to be BFFs with Kylee cuz we have a lot of similar interests but I’d want to date Shiloh (I fall fast for rockstars). Kylee would probably want to date Shiloh too tho so it could get kinky, who knows

Has there been anything you've read that's given you inspiration to push yourself as an artist lately?

Not a book but tbh watching Kpop Demon Hunters over the summer was super impressive to me as an artist. All I could see was the use of color, lighting and camera angles now that I’m really trying to pay attention to that stuff for Patchwork (just trade all the purples & pinks for greens & yellows? 😅)

Do you have any unfinished projects you hope to pick up and revive at some point?

I do have a few stories/comics I started that I’d love to work on more someday! But a lot aren’t ’webcomic’ material to me (ie. slower to read, very melancholy tone, premise has been done to death, etc). Hell I’d be fine just making more Gin & Tonic comics too if I ever found the time 😂

What character is the most similar to you?/How much of yourself do you reflect in your characters?

I’d say I’m probably a clean split of Kim and Kylee. Kylee’s fashion/music and immaturity but also Kim with being a stubborn, introverted workaholic lol I’m great at parties.

When will you fulfill Gin & Tonic prophecy and add steampunk to Patchwork Circus?

I would LOVE to do a steampunk BL comic one day 🤣

What inspired you to make Patchwork Circus?

A lot of little things (and lots of horror movies) but the main two being:

Nine Stones: I hadn’t really come across BL webcomics with that level of darker story, subject matter, gore, drama etc and I was HOOKED and wanted to make my own. (also very much inspired by the green and yellow color palettes!)

Cirque du Freak: My favorite YA book series with story/vibe inspiration of ‘going to a circus where the freaks are real, shit goes down, your life changes against your will and now you have to navigate a bunch of weirder shit’ only like if Darren and Mr. Crepsley were a couple lol

How long do you project Patchwork will be?

Definitely a few more years at this rate! Timeline without too many spoilers: at the moment we’re headed toward the first live performance and some shit going down after that, then part 3 where even more shit goes down for our boys and then the big climax!

We know that Kylee is pretty kinky and experimental in the bedroom, but how far is Kim willing to go with that kind of stuff?

I’d bet Kim could get talked into a bunch of non-traditional stuff but I picture him drawing the line at BDSM or anything that would have him hurting Kylee

Does Kylee usually prompt trying new stuff or has Kim wanted to try new things in the bedroom before?

Kylee would definitely prompt and Kim would probably take a day or two of convincing but then give in lol

Out of all your characters, who is the bravest?

Hmmm Kimrick or Noah (provided he likes you) are probably who I’d trust if there was ever any sort of threat

Which character do you enjoy drawing the most?

Like everyone in Patchwork 😂 I lost count how many doodles I have of circus posing Noah, scurred face Cricket and Jules just livin’ his best life

Which one of your characters is the hardest to draw?

Kimrick in the beginning and anyone with a beard (love you but fuck you Scotty) Also weirdly girls are getting harder for me after drawing them gay boys for so long. So basically I can draw feminine-ish thinks wearing eyeliners and women’s clothes/accessories but actual women and bewbies I get lost.

What were you like in middle school?

Quiet 😂 I kept to myself, had my circle of like 4-5 friends and stayed awake—I mean stayed busy in class by doodling and drawing comics, same for high school as well

What is your favorite character from each series?

Spurs & Stripes: Probably Kylee for the sake of growth, sarcasm, emo clothes and being the lil fish out of water underdog

Patchwork: Jules, he’s my fav to draw and write dialogue for

Tree Falls: our new snarky dumdum Shiloh

(All above are the snarky bitches but I promise I’m not a snarky bitch in real life, they’re just fun to create I guess 😅)

What’s your favorite seasoning?

I hate that I have a legit answer for this. I practically coat everything I cook in garlic salt.

What are some things in life that grind your gears?

Hmm know-it-alls get on my nerves a lot. Also overly fake people, I’ve worked retail, I can smell that fake-ass ‘customer service’ voice from a mile away. Also judgmental people. The world’s got enough hatred, you do you and I’ll do me, bruh

How was the meetup with McCull?

It was good!! Both her and Rowdy were very nice and so easy to get along with! Rowdy toured us all over Massachusetts (and a bit into New Hampshire to see all the pretty autumn colors), I wish the trip had been longer! Maybe one day all of us can plan a big meet up/vacation!! ❤️

What’s your good luck charm?

My pup Hastings has (figuratively) talked me off many panic attack ledges just by being in the room

Is there any part of any of your comics that you wish you could go back and change?

I have a TON of nit-picky stuff I’d like to go back and change for all my stories! 😂 They range from fixing/redoing old artwork to tweaking the entire beginnings of S&S and Patchwork lol I’m totally fine with what they ended up being but if I were to remake them today I bet they’d be pretty different

Do you have a favorite stuffed animal?

I absolutely had one growing up, her name was Miss Kitty and I carried that poor thing EVERYwhere. Today as an adult he’s not a stuffed animal but I bought a 6’2” Art the Clown animatronic last year cuz I can’t be trusted with birthday money and he’s the proud center ‘Art piece’, if you will, of my living room.

Do you like to cook?

Nope! Haha I’m very much a ‘buy a pre-made grocery store kit’ chef (salads, stir frys, ramen) and boom there’s dinner

Which other artists should we drop everything and go and read right now?

The aforementioned Nine Stones by Samuel Spano is the only webcomic I wanted injected into my veins, I loved it so much🤘
