FEBRUARY BLÄUG (Patreon)

Happy February! Not much new to report over here lol Hope everyone survived the big winter storm we had a week or two ago here in the states. It wasn’t as bad here but I heard others got hit pretty hard.

No big comic news, I’m just chugging along with comic pages and Patreon art. Coming up on the end of Patchwork chap 5 soon so let me know if you guys wanna see any specific ‘extras’ during the 2 week break 😊

And now, since I have the mic and this has been on my mind, a bit of a Red Rant/Recommendation:

So lately I’ve been rewatching the tv show Queer as Folk after seeing comments of ‘a show like Heated Rivalry could never be made in America’ ..like hello our glorious 5 season gay ancestor is sitting on its throne of dicks staring down at us very disappointed lol Brian and Justin walked so Shane and Ilya could run dammit!! Did their tsundere struggles mean nothing to you?! This IS the hill I will die on!!!

Anyway if you want more gay boy booties to tide you over till HR season 2, I’d absolutely recommend that show. It’s beautifully nostalgic (aired from 2000-2005, they were just getting cell phones) and has so many great scenes I know would go just as viral as all the HR scenes. I don’t know many other LGBTQ+ shows that go full SEX and DRAMA like QAF and Heated Rivalry but if there are any let me know! I need more gritty mature gay media (as opposed to cutesy coming of age stories) so I hope HR’s success opens the door for more like it!

Rant over 😋

PW hint of the month: Iris hears out Noah’s twink troubles

IATF hint of the month: Time to fish starring rockstar and nerd

IATF song(s) of the month: What I typically go to when I picture what Shiloh’s band sound like:

-Hang on to Yourself (Palaye Royale) for modern punk/emo style and marketability/radio appeal https://youtu.be/cjSobSYXo_8

-Two Faced (Linkin Park) for heavier guitars, bit of screaming, catchiness and I picture Shiloh having all Emily’s wacky antics of bouncing around stages and crashing into a drum sets https://youtu.be/kivUsDGWojU
