Hey guys, for some reason Patreon deleted this post while it was scheduled to launch earlier. Hopefully it goes through this time.

I want to recruit your guys' help to lock down Seraphyne's apperance, since she'll hopefully be around in the second half of this book and I want a solid reference for the cover art I'll comission soon.

This may impact her character a bit, since each of these personas carries certain connotations about her personality as well.

1) Legally Distinct Not-a-Jedi

2) Spacefleet officer

3) Space Mommy

4) Cute Techno-Magical Girl

5) Friendly (extremely beautiful) Girl Next Planet

6) Blonde in Power Armor (Control in case the white hair sucks.)

7) Mysterious hooded Brunette (Also a control in case the other designs don't work for you guys)

As always, I appreciate your input. Please leave a comment if you have the extra time. I may use the control characters at the bottom for Architect character side character references, if you guys like either of them.Those of you in discord know I spent some time recently building a new gaming PC (Ordered everything just before the RAM and SSD prices exploded, luckily!) and I just got stable diffusion working again with some of the bigger models I couldn't run on my 1080Ti, so I've been playing around with AI for ideation and character design. The official art will just use these as references and be hand drawn as usual.

When she was first introduced, Seraphyne had a hood like the brunette on the bottom. It didn't turn out as well as I liked on most of them though, so I dropped the hood for most of these.

Shame, hoods usually work 7ntil they release the figure underneath.

Yeah, it was just hard to get both long silvery hair and a hood without one clipping through the other. The brunette was easier because she has short hair.

Seraphyne had an energy blade rapier as a side arm. Her main weapon was buffing magic. She also had a pretty powerful robot drone helping her.

And a moment of appreciation for most girls with light hairs on the internet being brunettes in disguise and AI not knowing any better (Though I have to admit, I though blonds with dark eyebrows like Cobain were legit during early teens)

She needs to look self-possessed and capable, not stereotyped or like a baby. Thus 3 and 7 are out. 1. This is good. She has that beautiful competency to her, I would just say to take away the lightsaber. 2. Looks competent, but too Star Wars. She isn't a Captain in a fleet, and neither the commander aura nor the edgy haircut help. 4. Not bad, if you can make her look more mature and a dressed less like she is in a space bathing suit. It detracts from the feel of the character and removes the mystery. 5. I chose this one, because it has beauty and a feeling of her being much more cunning than she at first appears. You don't trust her, but you want to despite yourself, which is an excellent combination for an ancient character like her. 6. Too generic and nice looking.

I personally like #4 the best. Second would be #5. The magitech is the major differentiator between her and the cultivators in my mind. I would lean more into the high nobility aspects of her as well.

Thanks for taking the time to elaborate her description here. In that case several of these could apply. I think i still like the distinct not a Jedi the most, but 4 or 6 also would fit really well.

I like the idea of an older woman for once, since all the other harem members seem young. So a mix of the “mom” and technomancer would be the best IMO. It sorta fits since it was her ship and such.

LDNJ is nice, but 3 and Friendly Girl Next Planet are excellent as well.

1 is definitely my favorite with 4 and 5 the runners up. 3 is just too much - she doesn’t look at all like a real person.

I'd say Hybridize them a bit. Can give her and Jade opposite subcategories, and juxtapose their apprearance. Seraphyne = Looks like a techno-magical girl with a plasma sword, acts like a Not-A-Jedi Fleet Officer Space Mommy (IE: Will try to solve all Carter's problems and teach him how to be a good boy). Jade = Looks like a tall japanese aristocrat bombshell mommy, acts like a cultivator magical-girl next planet. (Already fleshed out a bit, wants to go on dates and hold hands, fights space monsters for her boyfriend.)

My only model that works well for more mature woman is an anime-ish one. It's really tough to get the realism models to age up women.

She will be older no matter what, since she was born thousands of years ago. This is more of an appearance thing. A-Grades have changed their appearance multiple times and can change they way they look completely if they want, so age is more of a self-expression thing than a biological fact. Does she feel like a young girl? Or does she feel like a matronly woman? It's up to her on how she presents herself.

Maybe I should have said they all act young, except maybe jade. But even she seems young and somewhat innocent for as old as she is.

If you don't use the mysterious hooded brunette, maybe use her in another series?

Either 1 or 7, she comes across as a mysterious woman with a somewhat serious side and I believe that those two likenesses tend to capture that idea of her, although 1 does match the concept of the woman who was ready to battle our dear Jade.
